Hello all July 2014 applicants. Please join this forum where we could be able to share our timeline before we got our visa to Canada. My husband is also a Filipino, he will be submitting our application once he got back to Canada. It will be a very long process, let us have this forum while we wait.

Hi. i'll probably be a july 2014 applicant as well. I have a question though, I got my permanent resident status last january 2014 (under CEC). I got married last month (may2014) sa philippines and now i am preparing to apply for my hubby under spousal sponsorship. Now, do I have to inform CIC about the change in my marital status? How do i go about this? Thanks!

Also, i havent changed my last name yet so all my passport and IDs are still under my maiden name. Would this be a problem?

@indebt i got married to last may2014 and when i came back to canada my husband papers is complete.. I already sent it last end of june.. I did not inform the cic of changing status i dont think its gonna be a problem.. I just went to vital static agency to change my surname.. Thats it., and when u receive the legal papers thats the time u can change ur other papers like liscence passport etc.

My husband sent ours through Canada post July 18 BC time. Where in the Philippines is your wife from?

Shes from the Benguet area, however currently she is residing in Thailand.

We sent our application on July 14th, got delivered on July 21.. We have not received confirmation though from the embassy that our application was received.

Hi myks. We sent ours on July 18. As per Canada Post, it was delivered July 21 as well. I am still waiting for AOR/SA. God bless us all.

How are you everyone? Still waiting in vain, I am really excited to know whether we all going to be proceeding to the next phase, will it really take 55 days? 29 days has passed already since we passed our application. No AOR received from the embassy. how about you guys?

Hi myks, nabasa ko sa ibang thread is hindi na yata sila nagsesend ng AOR, SA agad yung marereceive after you filed your application. Hehe kakapraning no, though confirmed naman sa courier na nareceive na ng cic, iisip ka pa rin ng isip kung umaaandar na ba yung papers natin. hehehe!
