Guys, I'm 3rd July applicant , received PER on 29 th October... Still no second line appearing in Ecas.

Kinda bit worried now.... Hope to see that second line soon..

Just relax please. It all depends on the particular visa officer that is assigned to your file. Some of the officers are faster in opening the file and others are quicker to finish it. First and second week of jan would be dedicated to the July applicants, I am sure, you are next one, so just chill.

Important is not to get first or second line, rather to get through the process smoothly. So you are on safer side.

I have a question -
- Does the spouse (NOT Main APPLICANT) Have to apply for PCC as well other than India. She has studied in the UK for a year and Lived in Saudi Arabia during schooling. Do we need to get the PCC for those countries as well?

As far I can tell, all the applicants over 18 years old will need to get it for all countries they lived in the past 10 years.

My app was received on July 15th and CC charged on Oct 31st. I am still waiting for PER. I am not able to check my status in E-CAS although I have UCI number (from previous temporary work visa) since I got an error that it is not in the database. I sent an email to CIO this week and I received a response. They answered the following: "Your application is currently in initial processing. You will be contacted in due course.".

This message was great news because now I know my application was not returned. However, as most of July applicants already received their PER, I am still confused in which stage my application is.

Anyone could help me on that? Huh

That was really a good e-mail reply. Since you can't do anything other than wait, just relax and enjoy the end year holidays, you should hear some news in January.

Take my advice, do not suffer in anticipation, specially because sometimes you're suffering in vain. I bet you'll receive some good news soon.

It is taking longer time to get it updates in cic web site. My second line got updated this morning around 11 am and it says my application was started processing on 24th. So it is taking 3 to 4 days to get that refelected.

I am sure it will be ready by next week for all of us. Again its not second line but the mr request is important

same happened to me......it get updated after 3/4days..........n after 8 days i got Medical Request........

You should be getting monday or Tuesday. I know it is stressful. Who knows if u are lucky u will get MR first. It all depends on assigned visa officer.

Again second line update does not indicate a call for medical nad it just indicated that they have opened our file. So untill I see mr I will also be tensed
