I've been in this country well over 7 yrs as a permanent resident and yet to travel outside it.muzmil said:

I did as told and that was about it.
But I think in general the pace at the Montreal office has increased considerably,
because the guy sitting besides me while waiting for the test, sent his in June.

Nothing from my sister's side. If I recall correctly, I saw a thread mentioning that Montreal is almost done scheduling oaths for applicants who attempted and passed the test in October. I am not sure how valid this point is.
I realized that some previous applicants are skipped over. I believe that the CIC processing time is dependant on the month applied in. For example, if someone applied in Jan 2012 and the test scheduling time was 10 to 12 months, then that applicant will get the test in 10-12 months regardless if the test scheduling time changes later on.
The CIC in Montreal has been scheduling test in 6 to 8 months for applicants who applied in May, June, & July. But for some reason my application has been skipped. No dates scheduled and no update. If I am getting an RQ why wait to get the letter. The CIC should send it to me asap so I can prepare and save a month or two.
