looking to May applicants the time for AOR is about 45 days, so for those who submitted our application at the beginning of July our tentative date for AOR is middle August, lets see as per today 36 days countdown...

Hi All,
On CIC site, it looks like there is some strike going on. Will this impact our AOR and overall application processing time?
Does anyone know?

Hello,

Please tell me what is GCMS? I am making my application this month and have been reading this word at a number of places but could not find anything on checklist or instruction guide?
Hope I am not missing anything in my application...

Thanks

One more question please....

Do I need to attach my bank statement and balance info? if yes then in what section does it go in the document checklist because I could not find anything in there or the instruction guide.

Please help..

Thanks

Don't worry you are not missing anything those are notes that CIC make in your file as they go trough your revision, you can ask for them once you have a file number or a rejection of your application, and no you don't need to include any bank info

Yesterday I talk with someone who works for immigration, she said that overall it is not going to impact, but in some cases they need some info from the people who are working at The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) those cases will be affected. And she add that. "what will impact is the number of applications received because of the new 4 years limit to be here on a work permit", all the people who is going to reach 4 years for April 2015 (the law started at April 2011) wants to submit their application before Jan 2014.

Mailed my application today July 10th. Hope for the best. :)

Reference letter was an issue as my company didn't provided one. Hope the explanation letter and supporting documents are accepted.

Reference Letter is mandatory for a CEC Application and as per my experience not even a single Applicant was successful without a Reference Letter.

Good luck...btw what are the supporting documents did you provide along with the application?

Hi guyz,

After lots of pain, sweat and [hard] work, I am finally ready to submit my application. Am planning to send it out in a next few days..

Best of luck to me and all fellow applicants out there....

There are cases in my company who were successful with an explanation letter. So I took the same path.

Submitted pay stubs, petition letter, offer letter and my company's employment letter. Also submitted a printout of my manager's email stating that they cannot provide a reference letter.
