Finally a Canadian Permanent Resident!! I crossed the bridge at Niagara Falls on Friday afternoon, the process took 25 minutes.

Good luck to the rest of you...

Finally, after exactly 4 weeks from my doctor submitting my medicals, my ECAS is showing medicals received.
I am from a visa exempt country, the next step is receiving COPR by regular mail, right?
Any idea how long does it take?
Thanks

Thanks Nikkit,
Please let me know if you get any update, I'll do the same.
Your ecas is still showing "in process" ?
Good luck to you

My question is the next step after medical would be either PPR or status change in ecas as 'Decision Made' then they will send an email for PPR?
Has anybody received PPR as looks like they have put on hold on PPR activity ?is this linked with strike ?

If you received RPRF and biodata form then I don't think it is linked with the strike and it is business as usual.

In my case though, I hadn't received RPRF and biodata because my security hadn't passed. I think the security check is linked to the strike, and that's why theres no movement on my application after my medicals.

I see in the google docs that many have yet to recieve COPR .... whys is it taking so long when August people have started getting passport requests.

Hello everyone,

I just wonder if they are delaying some of the applicants' process due to strike how the other applications are being process....
I did my medicals on 10th of June didn't checked my eCAS status for long but on 21st of June it showed medical results have been received...
Since then I thought they might wrap-up our case soon now...but no news yet.....also I received my GCMS notes on 21st June which showed.......eligibility and security check in progress n most funny GCMS notes said Medical Pending while they already updated the eCAS status.......

Its hard to say which section of immigration is affected with strike.....Guess we have just one option keep taking deep breaths n stay calm.....
Goodluck everyone.....

Hi CECAUG1.....Since you recvd the GCMS notes on 21 June, I presume you must have ordered them on or around 21 May. If you see your notes, you will notice the date your GCMS notes were generated (the date is usually printed at the bottom of each page). I have noticed that in my notes, the date of generation were a few days after I had ordered them.....why they take 1 month to email them is anybody's guess. So dont worry about your notes-You may not have recvd your MR by then and thats why it says MR pending.

Good news this morning, my ecas has been updated:
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
