No idea when exactly, just happened to check today after a couple of days.

It says they started processing my application on the 16th of May though...

Very good, I am hoping to get an answer soon then, based on our timelines. Good luck with the rest of the process and all the best to you!

Thanks! Receiving a MR right now would be so relieving... Sigh.
No I haven't applied yet. My work permit expires in January 2014 and there's still time for me to apply for a BWOP. I think I will apply in August.

How long does it take to get PR stamping and get passport back after sending passport to CIC?

That's incorrect. And I (and everyone else) would appreciate if you guys stop providing wrong information. All information about GCMS request can be found online at cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp and it explicitly says it is recommended to provide consent form for anyone over 18 years old.
From my personal experience, the first time i applied and didn't provide the consent of my wife, my request was refused. So yes, it might fly in certain cases/officers, but do you really want to take a chance and waste a whole month waiting?

Hello Buddy
Regarding GCMS request, what should we request? As I saw in the form, it seems they just send a copy of your file. Is that right? Will they send us the status of the application? Thanks

If you would like to see scanned copies of all submitted documents/communication with CIC - apply for physical notes. If you want to see the status of your processing - electronic files. You can apply for both by different requests, it is done online now so its pretty quick and convenient.

good news! my employer just got a phone call from CIC! he said they just asked how long i had worked there for~~ I hope things will pick up again! :D keep your hopes up everybody! :)

Good question.

It varies from just 1 week to 12 weeks according to posts in this forum.
