I also sent my file to Sydney and chose CPP-Sydney for processing. The AOR email said "Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing. Any future correspondence should be sent to the visa office as indicated on your application."

Someone in this forum said my file will be automatically transferred to Ottawa.
But yesterday I called CIC to inquire about application status and the guy said i should send email to CIO Sydney!?
Really don't know which office is processing my case now...

First off you practically cant determine/choose which office to be the processing office by yourself...Its CIC's call...

CIO-> centeralized intake office in NS Sydney...you did right to send your app there and they will likely transfer your case to Ottawa office for processing...it should be well stated on your AOR if you have one

@Pingu...i was in exactly the same situation as you
I callled CIC and asked which VISA office my application has been sent to...the call center rep told me "Ottawa"

Then all my future communication , i sent to Ottawa office and so far i have got the positive acknowledgment.

I Am July 6th applicant hasn't got any medicals request, I do see some August applicants got it...why With me , I want everyone to get their medicals soon but why CIC so delaying, GOD plz

I think I have read somewhere in the forum that they might have started another pilot this year (post the elig. criteria change) to process files faster. That would be a reason for so many "in-process" statuses for 2013 apps.

Whereas, if you see the trending, a good number of May candidates are now waiting for months for ppr post medicals, and some even waiting for MR!

This may be just the way CIC works. Let's pray that this gets streamlined soon. The sooner, the better.

hi, i received AOR on september 4 2012 after that no update on my file. my PCC is going to be expired on may 4th , i am in a situation that should aplly for another police clearance certificate and update to visa office before they ask for it or not?
if apply for pcc now it will take 4 weeks to get it

This is interesting. If CIC sends you MR before May 4th (another week), then you may not need another POC. They may not require it even after May 4 (depends on status of security/criminality check). But there is no way to know that other than CIC communication.

You may email CIC to get their opinion, but I would rather wait for another couple of weeks to see the developments.
BTW, is it easy to get a PCC for your country? Then you can go ahead and apply it, but do not send to CIC till they request for it.

aad, assuming you will be flying from outside the country, yes you can "land" at the airport. If you are in Vancouver, you cant just show up at the airport for landing procedures, either go to a US/Canada land border or call CIC and make an appointment to complete the procedure at a local CIC office

I sent really nice emails before to Ottawa center asking what is going on my file, they ignored both 2 times
and 2 days ago, I put "WILL ANYONE EVER ANSWER MY EMAILS ?????" on the subject line and I have gotten the reply today, saying it's under processing...
Whoever gotten no reply from them, I think we need to be little more expressive lol

they received my application on 6th July and AOR on 9th August.....
it's getting harder to wait because I have so many plans and just waiting for the paper to start them
I am so excited just to think about it and I'm sure all of you are the same as me..

The week is ending, let's not lose hope for next and even the weekends !!

I got accepted to a master program starting this september. And I want to do the program on part time basis while I keep my current full time job.
So I'm planning to apply for a study permit in case I don't get my PR when the program starts.
Is it necessary to update the master program school letter with CIC?

on your PGWP its written that cannot attend educational institutions or something like that; so you cannot hold PGWP and study permit at the same time. You will have to surrender your work permit and apply for the study permit.
