its before medical.. they call just to confirm the employment job duties.. they will only call if they have some serious doubts.. once you get ur medicals... i don't see a reason to worry unless u have some health issues..

i just wanted to share this phone issue because i got rejected previously just because they could not get in contact with my employer.. ( he was on vacation) .. just don't want anyone to suffer because of this stupid reason again.. anyways lets be positive..

Thank you for sharing this. What were the next steps you took after being rejected because they could not get in contact with your employer?
Do you have to go through the entire application process again (english test, police reports, pay fee) or just have your employer resubmit a letter with a more detailed job description. I'm facing a similar problem now and I don't know what to do...

I have also done upfront medicals, and sent notification with file number to cic, however I have not received any updates from them!

On your AOR there should be a statement clearly reads "All e-mail enquiries should be sent to the following address only: xxxxxxxxxxxx"

if your case is handled by Ottawa office, it should be OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca

So guys,,,good news,,,i got an email to pay rprf and biodata form,,,,,,guess what my previous application was refused on this very day 1 year from now,,,,,am so relieved now,,,,,

Now my question is: Are biodata form and rprf receipt are supposed to be sent to two different email id's as mentioned in the email,,,,,,

rprf receipt has to be sent to CIC "cost receovery" email address.

E-Medicals done today in Edmonton. For Myself and my husband, it took about 2 hours for both of us with chest x-ray and blood work. Cost $400 each. It went smooth and the physician was very nice and professional. she said they will have the results in about a week then if no health concerns they will forward it electronically to Ottawa. Good luck to those who are still waiting!

To your knowledge, what part of your application would have raised some serious questions for VO which made him to call your supervisor to verify?

That is so weird! I just read that email again and it didn't mention the email address that you provided above anywhere on it!!!

Got an email from the doctor that they sent the result to CIC today, but didn't tell me the result. Guess there's nothing wrong with me

What was the reason for refusal earlier?

The reference letter from the employer was not clear enough for the visa officer to take decision,,,,,,i had got the promotion after joining and employer mentioned the time from the promotion which was not one year,,,,,and actually i was working there for more than one year,,,,,,

It's now almost 10 months after file was received by CIC. No news, no updates. Getting impatient :-X :'(

When a refusal like this happens can u appeal and just send in an updated employment letter or do u have to apply all over again?
