Hi Mrs. B, everybody :D I have an appointment with a Immigration & Refugee lawyer May 14th to discuss the appeal process etc.I have not received a letter yet from the Immigration Appeal Division(IAD) for a hearing date of either an Alternative Resolution Despute(ADR) or a full hearing.I did however receive an acknowledgement letter from IAD saying that they have recieved my notice to appeal on March 05th dated Feb 28th.Sent notice to appeal February 04th by fax and also via express post which they received Feb 05th.

That's great to hear things are progressing, Double Rainbow! Hopefully things progress fast from here....

Hey Kamar,

Sorry about the late reply- I seem to come on here less frequently these days. Not sure if you have already found your answer, but here is a link: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/interviews-for-new-delhi-applicants-t110520.135.html - hopefully it's of some help ;)

We finally heard something from CPP-Ottawa! My husband's COPR was mailed yesterday, so fingers crossed it arrives safely and soon.

You must be looking forward to visiting your hubby! Let's hope this process goes really quickly for you. I know the outcome will be a positive one! :)

Hi,

Don't know how many of us Julyers are left. Well we had good news yesterday - after no contact for almost 3 months we were requested to repeat medical chest x-rays for both my wife and step-daughter - only that. The medicals expired in February. I think this must mean we are almost at the last stages of approval - any others' opinions?

They have had the passports at the Beijing VO for 5 months now. My theory is that they were likely doing security checks that took all that time. Why couldn't they extend the medicals instead ? - I don't know. We are within the 15 month extension period. Why bother to request a repeat chest x-ray? What medical purpose does that serve that the first test didn't (it was passed) ? However, I am just happy things are moving along.

Best of luck to all, continue to hang in there!

So a little update on my case, i got the document they lost and sent it to them, then after 2 and a bit weeks of not hearing anything i sent them a stroppy email stating my frustration at having to wait longer because of something that was basically their fault and low and behold yesterday i finally got an email saying my COPR was just put in the post and it arrived today 1st class recorded :) guess having a moan does pay off :D

So finally the long wait is over, happy days, now just need to sort out what im shipping to canada :)

I'm Da1000's spouse....so excited that it's finally come! Can't believe that we've been approved! All the stress and time apart has been worth it and especially proud of the fact that we did it ourselves with no legal help... originally looked into getting a solicitor to help but it was well over $2k. So we opted out and hoped for the best!

Thank you too all everyone who gave advice and helped along the way! And best of luck to those who are still waiting!

xx

Excellent news, da1000 and Jenna. All the best with the move over. I am in a similar boat- deciding what to take over (our cat is definitely on the list, but so many other things we may have to sell off!)
Congrats :)

Thanks bagel and also big thanks for running this thread and doing all the spreadsheet stuff, im sure i speak for all when i say its appreciated :)
