After some trouble with DHL my daugther's passport and COPR finally arrived in Montreal. Yesterday evening we drove to the border close to Champlain, NY to do her landing. It was a smooth process and at the end the border officer shake my 3-year-old daughter's hand and with a big smile said "Congratulations! Welcome to Canada". She didn't understand what it meant but smiled back :D

Bagel, I promise this is the last time I ask you to update the spreadsheet :P

Just I quick update. My daughter received her PR Card yesterday in the mail :)

Congrats Woffles and mmacedo!

Finally, almost 2 months after our PPR, "Decision Made" this morning. I did email them a few days ago asking if they needed anything else, maybe it helped things along! :)

Congrats frankinto! I found the same thing after requesting a receipt that they received my additional documents.
Hopefully you receive your COPR in the mail soon :)

Just received a letter from CIC that approved the visitor extension for my spouse. Unfortunately he can only stay until June 27th. Still no word from CIC or ecas. Our process still says "received." In a few days we will be hitting the 9month mark. I sent an email asking if they needed anything from us as we haven't heard anything yet. I am getting very nervous, thinking that the rest of the process will not be resolved before the date that my spouse has to leave Canada. I don't know what to do...

So we got out COPR and officially landed yesterday April 2, 2013. Thanks for everyone on this forum for their help

Congrats on landing! Out of curiosity, when did you actually receive your COPR? We got PPR around the same time as you and we're *still* waiting for it to arrive. :/

June 27th is still a while off yet dawndarkharp - I am sure your VISA will be processed by then!
I would try calling the Embassy the day after the nine month mark. Also writing another case specific enquiry for a general update- I would keep writing them every day until you hear a response... after all, that is what they are there for!

Thank you so much for the advice, bagel!! I had sent them an email last week so I will try again after we hit the 9month mark and again as much as I can after that. I will also try calling! Thank you so much!!! I wasn't sure what to do besides just wait in the dark. But if others are confident in the idea of contacting them then I will do so! CHEERS! ;D

no worries! I have never actually needed to call them myself as They have usually responded to my case-specific enquiry by email after quoting my UCI and file number- so hopefully there is a useful number where someone is able to respond. It might be the case where they have no real info and that your file is, as eCas states, 'in process' - but at the very least, having someone respond may trigger them to relook at your file, or speed the process up to decision made! Good luck!
