Congrats to all those that have got approvals or even AOR's, had nothing from the CIC myself and its a nightmare trying to call them, well should say trying to get through to them, lines are always busy, guess we will have to wait for the snail mail

My credit card was charged almost 3 weeks ago and still nothing! Today was officially the 20th business day since my app was received by them. uggghhh. so frustrated. I was hoping for happy times after a long day of work. I suppose I'll give them 2 more days and call Friday if I still receive nothing.

mmacedo, nothing for me too. My credit card was charged almost two weeks ago also. Would be nice to have it this week but I doubt it. I am flying to Europe to see my wife on Friday, would be great to be able to give her some good news and actually give her the CSQ.

Hi I used my UCI number but i do not have any file number. When i used my UCI number to check status, it says DM. Is it just for First Stage Approval OR may be my wife will get VISA? My file was in Canada on Sep 27, 2012.

The Decision Made will be for Sponsorship Approval.

I have a question for these waiting to hear back from MICC.

It has been over 20 working days, and in fact they charged my CC around the 30 of August- did you guys send your Revenue Quebec along with the application? I think my application (inland) is taking too long because I did not send it (didn't think it was necessary), and now they are waiting to hear back from the Revenue Quebec people. I called today (twice) and both people told me that it would take ANOTHER two weeks to hear from them ON TOP of the 20 working days we have already been waiting. The thing is that everyone is receiving their AIP already and we're still on CSQ, and that is driving me CRAZY because it's a USELESS piece of paper that will cost us almost 300$ to simply delay our application.

No, I didn't as it wasn't requested for Kit A (without financial requirements).

Crazy that it seems it has taken over 5 or 6 weeks for you until this point! I also didnt send Revenue Quebec since it wasn`t asked and there was not supposed to be any financial requirements for my case. Did they tell you they were waiting for Revenue Quebec? Just a few months ago everyone seemed to be getting it within 20 days no problem... seems we got unlucky. When you do inland processing the CSQ delays it for you?? That sucks!!!

Keep me posted when you get it, I guess I'm just a week or two after you so it'll give me an idea of when i'll get it on my end.... UGH!!

When I called yesterday complaining that it has been more than 20 working days, they told me that they can't do anything about it and it will take about another two weeks because they are "waiting for another minister to send them some information to make sure the sponsor does not receive welfare". If that is in fact true, I find it very unfair because knowing that it would take longer I would have sent my revenue information along with our application, and the reason why I didn't send in the first place is because it is not a requirement and I didn't want to send unnecessary documents.

Is that what it means then? I still haven't received anything via e-mail yet, this was all just verbal, assuming they were telling the truth about it being processed today.

Yeah it isn't a 'formal' AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt), but the fact they have registered receiving your file and you actually exist in the system is a good sign, and just as good in my opinion
Hopefully you have already been approved and will receive the approval email shortly!

Hi everyone,
just letting you know I contacted my VO and they said me email address details they had in the system were correct- so not sure why I didn't receive the AOR/Sponsor approval email? They said I would need to send a case specific email enquiry to Miss. if I want them to resend it. I am not going to bother, as I have confirmation now from Sydney that my file is in transit from Miss to my VO, so it doesn't worry me too much. Just letting everyone know in case you haven't yet received anything. If it is after the processing date your best bet would be to call CIC and let them give you a verbal AOR/status upddate if you are worried

Might give them a call next week. Quick question to those who have called. What kind of info. will they ask you for on the phone to confirm your identity? I want to know so that I can make sure I have all the info. ready like passport numbers and stuff when they ask me. Thanks. And how long did it take you guys to get through? I will be calling from overseas so hope they don't put me on hold too long.
