that sounds promising! A shame you have to wait for the snail mail though! Good luck with the wait :)

Thanks.... I guess I'll be waiting a few more weeks. :( I want so much to be passed this. I miss my husband. This process is so cruel. The waiting, the worrying, the stressing, the longing, lonliness and financial hardships living in 2 places. The experience makes me want to go to law school ! lol

A big congrats bagelbagel81.

Congrats Bagel!!!!

Good news guys- I called the number (thanks marcopolocan) and the lovely French Canadian man on the end of the phone said my application was indeed received on the 11th July, and I apparently received an email on the 25th of September to say we have sponsor approval!

Woohoo! Onto the next stage.

I am lucky I didn't have to hold too long, and the man was very helpful and gave me my UCI number.

Good luck everyone else who is waiting and thanks again for everyone's support :D
Congratulations Bagel!!! I guess you never recieved the email though. Strange, I would maybe contact Sydney now, and verify the email adress on file with them. Just to be on the safe side to not miss any important communications from them.

With the way they do things at CIC I'm not surprised that many applicants never received AORs or sponsorship approval emails due to them mistyping our email addresses. I really hope they double check my email address before they hit the sent button.

Finally, I get the status as decision made and suprisinlgy I got an email from Delhi consulate asking for my wife's passport.
My wife is pregnant and her due date is on Jan end. She has not done her X-ray yet, rest of medicals is sent along with the appliction.

Do you guys think delhi Immigration already know about my wife's expecting a baby and still asking for passport( knowing that X-ray not done)
In that case should I ask my wife to send the passport or should I ask delhi immigration to confirm whether I need to send passport once baby is born and X-ray done for my wife.

Kindly let me know your suggestions.

Regards

Hi Everyone
I did send my application to Canada office and when i see status of my application, it says Decision Made. What does that means? My file is not even sent to New Delhi yet. I was waiting for First Stage Approval.

Can Canada office make decision to give VISA to my spouse or it has to go to New Delhi first?
Please Please Please help.

Decision made will be for the sponsor at this point, meaning you have sponsor approval now.

I am in the same boat as you. My wife is pregnant and expecting end of December/beginning of January. My wife did not do an x-ray either. We did all the rest of the medicals though. What I suggest doing, is send them the passport. Just follow the instructions from the Visa Office. If they will ask for an x-ray, they will send you a note about it, do not worry. I am acting in the same way. I wrote in my forms, that my wife is pregnant, and I am waiting for instructions from our Visa Office.

Hi bagelbagel81, congrats!

But if I ask my wife to send the passport, then she may need passport later while doing X-ray. I also need to apply sponsorship for the new born baby, may need her passport for amending the baby's application.
I really don't know what to do in this case. Do u know what forms / documents need to be filled for baby's sponsorship.
Did they mention any time by when you need to send the passport, I don't see any such dates in the delhi consulate letter.
