On Dec 30 (Rizal Day), are we all obliged to go to work ?or is it considered absolutely no work.what do they mean by regular holiday? u are not obliged to go to work but if u do, u get extra salary (double pay, depending on the computation). regular holidays are those holidays which are implemented nationwide, it is in our law (and is observed in the country)...while what they call as Regular Public Holidays are those holidays w/c pertains to a designated place (city/municipality) which only applies to that particular place/city or any other specific place, for example, panagbenga (in Baguio?) it's a holiday in Baguio, but not in Manila or Quezon City, just in Baguio....thats my opinion about it.

"Holiday Economics"

Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo usually issues proclamations moving the holiday to Friday if a holiday falls on a Wednesday or Thursday, or to Monday if a holiday falls on a Tuesday. The sole purpose is to enable government and private employees to enjoy a three day weekend holiday. President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, coining the term holiday economics, introduced the policy in 2001 to reduce disruption to business and production schedules, encourage domestic tourism and give employees long weekends.[32] In 2004 she issued a proclamation making Christmas Eve as special non-working holiday and December 27, the Monday after Christmas as special non-working holiday.

On July 25, 2007, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo signed into law Republic Act (RA) 9492 also known as "An Act Rationalizing the Celebration of National Holidays", designating 11 Regular Holidays and three Nationwide Special Holidays.[1] Specific dates or days for celebration are designated. The law provides that holidays falling on a Wednesday will be observed on the Monday of the week and that holidays falling on a Sunday, the holiday will be observed on the Monday that follows. Three holidays (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Eidul Fitr) are designated as having movable dates, and the law provides that for movable holidays the President shall issue a proclamation, at least six months prior to the holiday concerned, the specific date that shall be declared as a non-working day. Though it was allowed by RA 9492, Labor Day was never moved to another date by President Arroyo at the request of labor groups.[33]

In addition to the Regular Holidays and Nationwide Special Days which it designates, the law specifies that the Eidul Adha shall be celebrated as a regional holiday in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

While Arroyo's "holiday economics" has been praised for boosting domestic tourism and for encouraging more quality time among members of Filipino families, businessmen are complaining over lost productivity and the hassle of preparing mandatory holiday and overtime salaries in a short period of time. Others deplored it as presidential tinkering with history via executive fiat.[32]

relax, u will get it soon. if u look at the ss, bdpa and ved2003 got their per 86 and 85 days after encashment of fee. u r now 77 days my friend, i am sure u will get it before the year ends. or 1st week of January, a new year's gift...

i think its 91 days from submission date of my application as of today... but still waiting....
i saw strange4ever has received his PER after 139 days,jijitipie after 109 days similalry somebody else with 119 days .....

so let me hope for the best in the new year....

yes, that is the attitude, they got theirs in more than a hundred days, so u need to relax, it's a holiday so enjoy this moment first

are u referring to the ss or to the forum name?

if u r referring to the forum name, changing it from frustrated to frustrated no more, here's the suggestion:

you go to PROFILE, then to account related setting, enter password to be able to change some settings, from there you can navigate other fields like forum profile information and enter any changes you feel like doing, hoped this helped...


if u r referring to the ss name, i have changed it to frustratednomore per ur request....and only admin team can make changes to it...

2) Using UCI number( 8 numbers)

Hi mehr, you get these numbers when you get your PER.

If you are new applicants, you will get those numbers with your PER (Positive Eligibility Review) Email from CIO Sydney, and if you are old applicants, you might already had that numbers !

helo po just to make an update...nareceive na ng VO yung medical ko its the third line of in process sa ecas ko, ang tagal kasi umabot din ng 3 weeks dec5 natapos tas napost na nareceive dec 27 but anyways its all ok. thanks guys sa forum na ito and above all to God Almighty! itatanong ko lang sana sa may mga PPr na kung ilang araw ako magexpect na maka PPR after the post of my ecas?
please do help.
