so, u say that u still have time for ur fees to be encashed before 14 december as u calculated, and if not encashed till that date, u r not in cap?

Not sure about that Helppp...just keeping my fingers crossed....sharing my findings...my half baked analysis....and mainly my anxieties with my friends here ;-)

Give yourself 90 days (+ or - couple of days) from your appl date. Till then you shud rcv your PER. If you hvnt rcvd PER by then, I think you have reason to worry. Otherwise not. This is what my head tells me...but who can control my heart :-O that is under tremendous stress these days

If fee encashment has to do with the updates on the website how come application for phd students received after November 5th reflects on the website. does it mean that November phd applicants already have their cc/bd cashed. IMO, cap are updated based on application received. there might have being a long delay in updating the website in july/August due to large volume of application received, but what i strongly believe is that the value reflected on the website is close to what have been received till a week or 2 weeks ago.

its now 6wks since file rcved, do u think there is a need to inquire about my app? can i get anything?

he completeness check takes between 7-15 days max followed by fees encashment, so, an application rcved on 5th nov, can be checked and encashed by last cap update

Thanks so much for sharing all updates here. Thats the very idea of this Forum. And you have been contributing no doubt
As you are aware now the CIC gives a "positive final determination" unlike in the past where they used to give only AOR (acknowledgement of reciept). So the scrutiny now is detailed. There may be appls with slightly higher complications which take up more time. There are other straightforward applications that go thru really fast. Hence the difference.
Yes...it beats me too that no Sep appl has rcvd PER. Thats whats getting my goat too. But Bhandari did share his friend's update. So thats some consolation.

What i am not sure abou is, does number count of cap increasing as they recieve application against each NOC or its based on completeness check of each application ?

that means. Sep 1 and Sep2 applicants should start to worry from friday

i thank God for recieving PER but the wait for the next step is makin me very nervous. these days i am trying to figure out as to wht happens at the VO stage. will the CIO eligibility assessment be considered final as it is stated in the PER letter or the whole process is repeated again at VO stage. Moreover LVO applicants are going In Process straight away. i dont know whts the difference.

Dear Ovais,
VOs repeat the elligibility process with emphasis on validation of the information provided (are the documents authentic or not?) but I have never heard of anyone receiving an NER from VO unless for fraudulent or invalid documentation.

LVO moves you straight to In Process, Probably because they are minimizing the amount of emails/communication they do (like what cio did this year by combining AOR with PER).

I have a friend who applied last July under NOC 3152. Four months have passed and still she has not received the PER or any letter as a confirmation that her file was already received. Anyone here who is in the same situation? What do you think are the reasons why she hasn't receive any response coming from the CIO?

WELL BIG O THANX FOR THE INFO. I WILL B HAPPY WITH THE BACK GROUND CHECKS N VALIDITY OF MY DOCUMENTS BUT ANOTHER ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT WILL BE NERVY FOR ME. LETS HOPE IT ALL GOES WELL FOR ALL OF US.

Helppp...IMHO, it serves absolutely no purpose. It only unnerves you unnecessarily. When we have such a wonderful forum with such helpful people who update us with all details, live, why should we depend on obsolete data provided by those agents, mail or call!

This is absolutely my personal opinion. I have completed more than 6 weeks and in an equally precarious position (if not more), but I havent bothered to write to them or call them. I find the SS of this thread much more informative and up to date.
