What is the next status on eCAS after "CIO-S Eligibility Review Complete" & after how many days ?

Hi all, sorry to repeat the same things probably everyone is asking. ::)

I sent my application package to Sydney in mid-July, and it was received on July 18. I haven't heard anything from them yet, either by email or by regular mail. Is this still within the "normal" waiting time? My NOC code that I applied under is 1122, visa office is the Buffalo office. I know the website says the cap for that code was already reached, but I don't know if my application made it or not.

Thank you for your help and support.

hi have you send any enquiry mail to CIC

Hello Hibernation,

You are allowed to enquire after 6 weeks of your application received date. So would you like to send them a mail with all your details? Following are their Mail IDs. Send a mail to both.

fsw-sydney-search-enquiry @ cic.gc.ca
cio-sydney-search-enquiry @ cic.gc.ca

As you would have gathered from AVSNEH's message in this thread, there are certain conditions you have to follow while writing them a mail. Incase you have missed that message, here they are:

1. You should be primary applicant.
2. Your enquiry date ( date on which you will send an email) should be more than 6 weeks from the application receipt date.
3. Subject other than the "status of Application file" will not get reply from this id.

Response period is 10-20 days.

Cheers

Your Highness and keyur_foryou, thank you for your responses.

I sent an enquiry to the cio-sydney-search-enquiry email address, and got an autoresponse back that said I need to give them my name, date of birth, and file number or Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) client ID.

Since I haven't heard from CIO at all, I don't have either a file number or client ID, so my understanding is that I probably won't hear back from them via this line of enquiry. I'm trying to double check my credit card statements to confirm that they have not yet charged my card for the processing fee.

Is there still a chance that I'll hear from them, even though I don't have a file number or client ID? It has now been 9 weeks or so, but I guess there are so many variables that go into the processing time that it's hard to say what it means.

Thanks again for all your help. This board is a great resource.

Hibernation, normally they take 10-13 days to answer your email, but if you feel like it, you can try calling their call center and ask update from your app.
The phone number is :0016139444000, then choose 1-2-1-2-1 (if they haven't changed the menu). Then you will be asked 3 times your UCI number but since you don't have it, wait and they will put you through an operator.
BTW, it's NOT tolll free and waiting time is a bit long, I took 30 mins from the moment I placed the called 'till the operator answered me.

Good luck

Dear Hibernation,

6 weeks from the date they receive your application. Thats the calculation.

Have you written back to them with your DOB and name? I think you could send another mail with the details they want (except the file nmbr which you dont have). Also send them a copy of your courier delievery report, as some forum friends got a response back saying CIC couldn't quite place their application forms, hence requested for a delivery report.

Also have you remembered to give the correct "Subject line" as I mentioned in my previous message?

Go through some earlier messages on this same thread, you will also find a phone number that you can call. However, the common agreement here is that information got over phone is often not as solid as a mail.

But the best bet is your CC Charging. That will prove beyong doubt that they have rcvd your application and you are "in" the CAP.

Cheers

Hi All

Finally after a long and hard wait my payment has been taken from my credit card and is pending. Hopefully it will clear very soon. The next step is for me to pray that my application goes through the process and there are no hickups on the way.

I just want everyone out there to know that there is hope and I have been waiting for over 6 weeks and finally my credit card got charged. It is a very stressfull time as we all want to be in control of knowing what our future holds and it is diffucult when the control and decision is taken out of our hands.

i will update you guys with anything else I recieve.

Does anyone know what happens next? Will i recieve and email or will they request medical?

Kind Regards

Mabs

Someone please update this status.

Just recieved a reply from cic after 11 days.

"Please be advised that your application was returned with all attachments on 30 August 2011 as the cap of NOC 1122 has been reached."

Guess everyone after the 8th should have no hope of their cc / bd being encashed. Process seems to be the same as last year.
