First of all Congrats to all those who got PERs already and ones in queue to get soon. I'm big fan of this forum and always keep checking to get updates being silent fan of this forum as hardly get time to send messages. Thanks to all folks for sharing such useful information and keep this forum alive. Want to share the email that I got from CIC today. Please suggest me what is happening with my application? Is it being considered in cap or out ? Or . . .???i also checked with bank for BD encashment 10 days ago but not encashed till then. any suggestion would be appreciated. Going out of country for official meet tomorrow so please tell me soon as really confused. Oh God! pleas help. Thanking u all in advance Coz might not be able to be in touch till 29 sep. Talk to u soon

Do you believe that destination in Canada where we plan to go , could play any role in selection from CIO people ? as I believe that most or maybe 80% of applicatns noted Toronto/Vancouver, as their future destination , do not you believe that it could add pressure from province authorities side ?
in another way if some one select destination to be Saskatchewan for example which is the coldest area and less population , is it mean they will select him ?mmmmm.

Gabry..you raised a debateable point ...CIC/VO may favour the case over other, if destination provided is one which canadian govt promote ..saskatchewan ?? indeed on top of the list .. infact before filing the application i asked my cousin(who is in canada) - what should i fill for "Intended Destination"?. He suggested me 5 cities, one was saskatchewan. i chose Guelph, ON. He also said that govt is advocating "EASY PR" for non resident(student, temp worker, refuges etc) if they come & live there ...

Hello Dear,
An ID number means a lot, it means that your application has been opened for processing (meaning within the cap) and it means that its documents are complet. Don't worry about the BD, wait for the PER. it will take them a while but am guessing it will be late next week in your case,

checked my docs, it's in anchorage now, estimated time of arrival says 27 of september didn't expect it to be this long, but i wish it all the best of luck ;D

I just hope you did not use DHL, everyone on this forum complained about their slow service and they were behind many applications failing to make the CAP because of late delivery....

My consultant just received my file back, with a letter saying

"A maximum of 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications, without an offer of
arranged employment, or a maximum of 500 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications per
National Occupation Classification (NOC) code will be considered for processing each year.
Your application was received after the maximum of 500 complete Federal Skilled Worker
applications per NOC 1122 was reached."

My app was received on 11th of July, 9th and 10th being weekend. Hope this gives some insight to the post-8th July applicants. I feel we better start looking for arranged employments rather than wasting time discussing when the cap for 1122 closed. All the best to all.

Very sorry to hear the bad news, and many thanks for sharing the update. Arranged employment is one of the option available, trying next year or learning french and appliying for Quebec are other options available... main point is that you should not give up and I can see you're not.

NKKD. Thank you very much. You are the only one who responded to my anxious query. Your calculation makes solid sense to me....though I don't want to believe it :-(

But do you think the rush will continue till the end...I mean the initial rush? Do you feel that it might slow down a bit now? Now that all the people waiting from last year (as NOC 0631 CAP was also filled by April 19th) have finished filing their applications? Please...please do share your thoughts on this.

All our other Forum friends....any thoughts on this matter? Please do share.

My calculations showed almost the same prediction for 0631 cut off date(24-28 August), but did not post it as I am not 100% sure of the cut off date since we cannot predict how many applications were received per day after July 20th. I am sure that the 183 applications were received before July 20th but we don't know if the same number of applications were received from there onwards. It could be more or less, no body knows.

A very dear friend who is a 0631 submitted his application late in the current month, he was supposed to submit first week of August but he kept on delaying his paperwork... this is just an example of how numbers could fluctuate, therefore we cannot be 100% sure which is why we call it prediction or estimation...

This would be easier if it was for an NOC such as 1122 where the abondance of applicants ensures that the received applications are always at maximum, but in our case (0631) I don't think it is the case.

I would say you still have a good chance of making the cap and I wish you Good Luck.

The rules are very clear guys: Submit a complete and valid application before the Cutoff date and you're in. They don't mention anywhere that a more flexible review will be offered to those who intends to settle in Saskatchewan (or any other area with names that are hard to pronounce), and they have the PNP programs to promote "Easy PR" (although it is not as easy as it sounds).

Don't forget that stating a city in your application is not binding in any way (except for having to be there initially), hence they cannot bank on that information.

First, Hello to all.

This is my first post but I have been following this forum for some time now. However, quite admittedly never posted a word as I wanted to post my first post as a good news ...... which of course did not happen.

I applied 2nd July, The application was reached and recieved by Doug on the 7th July under NOC 1122 from Manila VO. My CC got charged on the 9th August and today I recieved the NER . I work at a fairly senior position with one of the Top 5 companies of the world and all I have ever done is Business Management and Project Management. My application was complete with every single document I felt they would ever need.

However my NER said " I was not able to provide enough proof that I have worked in appropriate services/occupations as outlined in NOC 1122".

Not sure what exactly qualifies but was kinda shocked when I saw that.

But I would like to think and hope that I am the only "Not so lucky" guy here and I wish and Pray that all of you all who are waiting for the PER will definitely get that.

I felt that this forum is almost like a family and even though I wanted to be incepted in this family with a Big Bang ( A great news of PER), it turned out otherwise.

However, I would like to believe that this is not the end of the road . may be just a T-Point . I And now whether I choose left or a right, I will have success waiting to recieve me.

I do not think the destination is a selection factor atall

I think this reply is just like the one I got from CIC . I think it means they have not opened your applications yet. monitoring the PER sent , I think they still open the applications which have been received till 15th July.
