I am in a very poetic mood today......so here's one to ALL my friends here!!
Our journey to Eden (Canada)
As glide ahead toward distant shores
Towards a distant land, I move my oars
A distant land with distant people
Shunning the known and rooting for the unknown
As I mention my unconventional plan
Of moving to this land of honey and glam
I hear my loved ones say
DON'T GO.......we need you here
I have never been a person
Who ever lived on a writ and guidelines
Rebel they would call me and cast me away
Yet I headed on in my chosen pathway
What is life without a quest
I feel young and able
For my child, my love, this step I take
For this distant land with distant people
In this forum I find my own
People like me who are willing to disown
What they have thought to be the only life they've known
For a life that seems distant and unknown
I love you all for this very reason
The connection I find in every word
The joy we share in every triumph
The sadness that grips us in every failure
To my friends in this forum I dedicate
These words from my heart that's put on display
Not holding back any emotion
Because I know you will understand
In Canada we shall find our paradise
A place where we will never run out of ice
For our drinks and our merriment;
We shall gather the joys of our Eden
