There is a wonderful news its PPR Alhamdolilah

As everyone knows me here that my spouse was refusing again and again even after Judicial Review Settlement. I tried for myself in a college certificate . got offer letter with Dualingo 105 score, NO ielts,

applied on 18 Sep from pakistan NON SDS as i am dubai resident

refusal came on 27 Sep

reason of refusal ties outside country of citizenship or habitual residence

Same day reconsideration and same day pursued Judicial Review in federal court

file reopened in 4 days after reconsideration

PPR 11 OCT

its took more then one year me and my wife were struglling for canadian study visa . Luckily she received invitation for PR OID Saskachewan on 6 september draw

my SOP was simple and mentioned dual intent as well as course relation

my age 43

matric 1995
diploma civil engingeering 1999
NEBOSH health and safety online courses in 2013
work exp gap covered till 2022
working in Dubai

Lesson learnt if anyone overqualified dont think for canada and if you are normal educated with exp then apply for canada

my wife had double master and she refused 4 time since one year

My friend got his study permit refused again after a settlement with IRCC. This is unbelievable, as he has a very strong application—a funded program, and the study program matches his background.

What should be the next steps? Should he give up and look elsewhere? What are his chances if he goes for a judicial review again?

What was their education and work history? Funds? Citizenship and do they reside in that country? What program were they applying to in Canada?

He has (course based) graduate degree in computer science degree from Bangladesh and got accepted in research based (fully funded by university) AI program in Waterloo University. Yes, currently resident of Bangladesh. He attached all the supporting documents from university. The refusal is based on lack of family ties outside and purpose of visit not same as study plan. Previous rejected based on financials.
Lawyer was confident that after settlement we will get it as application is very strong but …

Order GCMS notes. Is this a second masters degree? Is he a Bangladesh citizen? You said resident.

Hello, Everyone. I know this thread is for student visas, but I wanted to share that my wife's visa was rejected 4 times ( 1 SOWP, three visitor visas) - Indian applicant

She have been working for eight years in India. with 3 international travel histories and a regular salary She also files taxes every year.

1st - SOWP I applied by myself and got rejected due to generic reasons.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 200(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-200.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

• The compensation (monetary or other) indicated in your job offer and your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

2nd- I applied for a visitor visa by myself and got a generic rejection again.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

3rd - I applied for a visitor visa through an RCIC consultant.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada based on the following factors:

• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

At 4th time, I applied for a visitor through a Barrister and his file was made in a way according to the legal reply at the federal court stating all clauses. Applied on 1 April 2025 and got a refusal on 8th April 2025.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-179.html). The reason we applied for a visitor visa this time was for my convocation, my birthday, and the trip was 15 days short. My lawyer has filed the judicial review in court on the same day of refusal 8th April 2025 and we are waiting for a certified copy from the court.

I will keep sharing the update as it might help anyone who will be in need as there are very few groups for visitor visa judicial review.

This seems like an insane amount of money to spend on this when there are strong reasons for refusal. What is your current status in Canada and when does it expire? Did you get married in November 2024 as you posted or in 2023? Have you seen each other in person since then if you got married in 2023?

I got married in November 2023 and came to Canada in January 2024. I went to India in December 2024 till 12th February 2025. I am still a student and will complete my studies in August 2025.

All these reasons are biased, as my wife has been working in the same company for 8 years and has funds accumulated with her salary savings. All these rejections are template rejections and nothing else.

I find these reasons wrong because they say she has strong ties in Canada however, out of the whole family, I am the only one in Canada. Convocation and birthday should be a purpose of visit as it's once in a lifetime opportunity.

They aren’t biased especially reasons for TRV refusals. For example you are viewed as the only true family tie for your wife not her parents or siblings and you are in Canada. She has also applied for an SOWP in the past so has already expressed the desire to move to Canada to join you. It also appears as though you were originally doing a 1 year diploma during the only SOWP application and were newly married after getting the SP so that also tends to create concerns for IRCC especially if not long dating history before marriage. Unless your wife wanted to join you in Canada there would have been no reason to get married before moving to Canada. Your best option would be to apply for SOWP when/if you qualify for PGWP and if you qualify for SOWP at that point.

IRCC is rejecting visas without even looking at the files.

All my wife's visas were refused without even being checked by any visa officer. All GCMS notes have just the same scripted rejection letter points, and no officer has written any comments on them. I have also shared multiple relationship photos of our past dating times, and even then, they rejected it. We both have been dating for 10 years before getting married.

contradicting this line of yours. I have a person who went to Nepal only for marriage between his studies in 2nd year of study, and after coming back to Canada, he applied for SOWP, which was approved.
