I am in same company and will be in same company till march, So I have worked more than a year and still have some months left. How can a company issue offer letter without status as work permit allows only 4 years

The letter can be conditional stating that it's valid if you are accepted as PR.

I was wondering if someone with a ICT WP valid till DEC 2017 or 2018 would ideally be eligible because his ICT WP was approved based on the future job that he would be doing. This might comply with job offer from same employer for acquiring that 50 points. What say? ???

Your company should provide you with job offer letter of 1 yr same company for which you are working now does not matter your work permit ending date. It should say that they are offering you a job of atleast 1 yr after you will become PR.

Interesting to see that, we generally receive Job offer letter for ICT WP extension from the company which states job would be offered for another 1 or 2 years. We might very well use this letter along with Letter of explanation. Anyways will have to wait till Nov 19th and see how this incorporates.

Fingers crossed :'(

Did anyone had a successful update with new points? May be we have to wait for 24 hours.

Do we have to update anything on the profile to claim points. As of now, I have selected no Job offer in my profile as my company will not co-operate in giving any additional letter.

If I am on ICT so which Option should I select?
No - My work permit is exempt from LMIA due to international agreement or
No - My work permit is exempt from LMIA due to other reasons and is employer specific.

I selected "No - My work permit is exempt from LMIA due to other reasons and is employer specific."

In which section I can find the above options you have mentioned?

It's under " Intended work in Canada"

Hi rg74, I don't see that option under " Intended work in Canada" section! My profile is eligible under CEC and FSW category. I don't have any Canadian education.

But its mentioned in work permit that it is under GATS international agreement.
Which falls under international trade agreement. So had selected first option.
Correct me if I am wrong.

You will have to answer a series of question to show this question. If you have a job offer YES , they many other questions will follow. According to my answers this question popped up. Your set of questions changes with your answer choices.

Hope it helps. Thanks

I'm not sure then because my work permit doesn't say that. It is a closed work permit with Employer Name on it.

Maybe others in same situation can clarify !!
