@ Staralihaider:

Friend my 2nd AOR issuance date is 14th march...can you please update the list in your own records...no need to immediately post it....thanks

I have heard & read the email text as well that some of the Pre-June 2010 applicants have received an email responce to their online quries, from London VO that it will not be processing the Visa applications for Pre-June 10 applicants at least for 02 years due to the changes in prioroty and backlogs etc.

Anyone have comments on this?

its not - not processing for 2 years...the email response they give mentions that it may take 2 or more years to process...

You mean 02 years from filing the application OR just in VO for the whole process to be completed? it could be even more than 02 years for the Pre-June 10s to get the PR????

2 yrs or a bit more processing time from the day Visa office recieved your complete application...

Does E-Case status "In Process with same RBVO details" has some positives? i have come to know at this forum that it may take 14-18 months (from the date the VO receives the complete application) to get the medicals, after the medicals it may take 10-14 months to get the PR, did you mean this??? :o

UK new rules for student visa after 4th July 2011

The UK Border Agency is pushing ahead with further Immigration Rule changes coming into effect on 4 July 2011, which will have serious consequences for Tier 4 students studying at private colleges.

How does this affect you?

This means that if you renew your visa for a private college or change college after

4 July 2011, you will not be able to work and you will not be able to sponsor your dependant.

From 4 July 2011 the UK Border Agency will:

restrict work entitlements to migrants studying at higher educational institutions (HEIs) and publicly funded further education colleges only;

restrict the sponsorship of dependants to those studying at postgraduate level at HEIs on courses lasting at least 12 months, and government-sponsored students on courses lasting at least 6 months;

require education providers to vouch that a new course represents genuine academic progression;
ensure that maintenance funds are genuinely available to the applicant, by introducing a declaration on the visa application form;

commit to publish a list of financial institutions that we consider, on the basis of experience, do not verify financial statements to our satisfaction in more than 50 per cent of a sample of cases;

introduce a streamlined application process for low-risk nationals applying to attend courses with Highly Trusted Sponsors;
extend the list of courses for which students must receive ATAS clearance;

restrict the ability to deliver accountancy courses accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) to those sponsors accorded platinum or gold status by ACCA; and
clarify the position of overseas universities with campuses in the Uk.

A revised version of policy guidance document for Tier 4 migrants, and a statement of intent summarising the new student visa policy, can also be downloaded from UKBA website.

How does this affect current students in the UK who have valid student visas?

No need to panic. If you already have valid leave or visa, you will not be affected by the new rules. However, if you transfer college from 4th July 2011, you will follow the new rules.

Skilled workers and professionals: Who can apply

Note: If you are applying under one of the 29 eligible occupations, as of July 1, 2011, a maximum of 10,000 federal skilled worker applications will be considered for processing in the following 12 months. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing each year.
These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment.

1- Not sure what this is..probably a system error..should be RBVO.

2- No one is sure about the timelines within the overall timelines...2 yrs or a bit more for the complete process from the day VO recieved ur full app...thats all there is right now...hope next step starts happening by dec to march 2012...thats a fair guess we can make looking at trends...so keep ur hopes up and pray...
