12 to 14 months for whole process till visa.

I think you have to change your thoughts regarding getting the medical request in 8-10 months after full documents submission, as most of the applicants mentioned in the list for London VO are taking 12-16 months to get the medicals only, not sure how much further it would take after the medicals!!!!

24-36 months for whole process after submission of full docs. If you get earlier response that would be a bonus.

Which implies that - Yes, the older lots would get the seriousness they deserve, now that the application/s intake stands reduced. Meaning: The backlog will continue to be addressed/reduced.
This is definitely a 'good sign' [as many put it that way] for the existing apps in their vaults [!].

'Coz they don't require much 'new' applications... having a huge backlog already to fall back on. The intake quantities of new immigrants into the country remain the same... just that fresh cases aren't encouraged.
-If your application is already lodged with CIC -- this regulation could be beneficial to u.
-If u haven't applied yet -- hurry up... the 500/NOC quota is too minuscule, could be a goner in days.

I have another question ............. in the country specific checklist they want Pakistani applicants to provide ORIGINAL TRANSCRIPTS IN UNIVERSITY SEALED ENVELOP................. is there any chance they will accept the Notarized copies and later on, once the application is filed they can ask for ORIGINALS
It is better to provide University sealed envelop transcripts but if you have a problem then better send them the original transcripts verified by HEC. Notarized copies will not be accepted and they may ask for originals at a later stage of your application and this may delay your case as well.
and also if someone can please guide that if we need to provide ......... Police Clearance with the application as it states that it is strongly encouraged with the application
If you are about to apply in Centralized Intake Office Nova Scotia then you must provide PCC from each and every city you have lived.
the situation with me is that my wife qualifies under one of the FSW category. I am a Canadian Citizen who has sponsored her but spousal sponsorship from Islamabad is taking 23 months or more ....... she also has passed her Step one of Licensing Exam in Canada in her occupation while living in Pakistan .......... to me its better to wait for 12-14 months than to wait for 23 or more months .......... spousal immigration application gives them a lot of personal judgment to delay unlike FSW which is pretty cut and dry............... please advice
It is better for your spouse to apply under FSW-1 and you dont need a Licencing exam for her/him to qualify. S/he must earn 67 points and have at least one year of paid , full time experience in 29 occupation list. In your case if your spouse belong to one of the high demand medical profession I would advice you to apply for a work permit of your spouse after completion of licencing exam and wait for 23 months (Spousal immigration). Work permit would be the fastest way to get her/him to Canada.

Dont worry inshallah you will get your medicals in next 3 to 4 months. For pre june 2010 applicants this whole process taking 24 to 28 months and in this time frame you can expect Medical and PPR request. ( CHC London statement is false that they are taking 16 months for pre june 2010 applicants.)zubbair said:Dear Ali my 18 months r completed, but im still waiting for medical! sent full documents in jan-4-2010,i think i will have to wait 2-4months more. :'(
