No company in canada gives the Permanent offer without the PR. And as per your suggestion , I need permanent offer from Canadian company before PR to claim 600 points. This is kind of chicken - egg problem.
No, it is not. Many people succeed with valid job offers. Job offer Letters can contain phrases like:

"This offer of permanent employment is contingent upon Mr X obtaining permanent resident status in Canada."

"The term of employment is for a minimum of one year from the date Mr X obtains permanent resident status."

BTW - valid job offers are no longer worth 600 points, this changed last year. They are now worth 50 points for NOC A &B jobs, and 200 points for NOC O jobs.

My friend had:

3 years of PGWP
After expiry he applied extension on the basis of AINP (Not on PR file number), He got closed work permit with employer stated on work permit. (NO LMIA)

He worked for that employer 6months on PGWP and 6 month until now on Closed employer stated WP.

Can he claim 50 points for offer of employment/arranged employment ?[/
@Amdavadi did your friend get claim those 50 points? In a similar position, not sure what to do??

Actually i have a similar situation as mahendra94us. I have been transferred from another country to Toronto for the same company, under the Intra-company transfer category, LMO exempt. Below is the statement of my contract / job offer, but HR and/or my manager says that giving a letter saying that i have just 1 minimal year of secured job, could be risky for me, as i have already a permanent position, subject of course to good behavior. However, now, my migration lawyer, Canadavisa, is not willing even to create my express entry profile including this 50 points, because there is no paper saying "at least 1 year".
Somebody knows if the IRCC will consider OK a permanent position?, considering that I already have been working in Toronto for 2 years with good performance evaluations so far.

My contract states the following:
Dear Guillermo
On behalf of The Smurfs Village, I am pleased to offer you, subject to work permit approval, the regular full-time position of Programmer, in The Lost Village, within IT&S in Toronto, reporting to Papa Smurf. Your employment will commence upon issuance of a valid work permit. Your date of Continuous service with the village will remain from January 1, 1995.

Please advise!

There is no reason it has to say for "one year." It can be much longer than that, or "permanent," or "at least one year..." The key is, it is a FUTURE job offer (not your current one), effective when you become a permanent resident. This should not have any negative impact on your job.

Regardless of how you are classified by your employer, you are on a temporary work permit, therefore your work is temporary.


However, now, my migration lawyer, Canadavisa, is not willing even to create my express entry profile including this 50 points, because there is no paper saying "at least 1 year".

Your lawyer is correct. Without this future job offer, you are not eligible for the extra 50 points.

This looks like a reference letter, not a job offer letter. There is nothing about the future or a job offer after you become a permanent resident.

So, no, I do not think this will suffice for a "valid job offer."

No. Your current job cannot be used (unless you have an LMIA).

When i discuss this situation couple of immigration lawyers in Toronto, they informed me that no multinational company give offer letter as asked by the CIC. Thoughts please....
