I submitted my application on April 12.
Got my AOR on May 3.
No update after that.
Has anyone got PR in this year? If yes, what’s the timeline?

Does anybody know how to recognize an AOR?
I received an email with just an application number and saying that my sponsorship has been received by IRCC and their names. No files attached.

"This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2024/04/30 on behalf of the following member(s):"

Is that an AOR? Can we apply for a work permit now?
Any helps is very much appreciated.

That is indeed AOR! You can apply for OWP now

• "The AOR must be for your permanent resident application. You can’t use the AOR your sponsor received when they applied to sponsor you."

All I have is an email with an AOR sent to my email, but my spouse which is the principal applicant she never received the AOR/email, nothing!.
Please help, what should I do? is this normal? we were supposed to get the same email with the AOR but I'm the only one who has received it.

Help please.

That email is your AOR. You can save the email as a PDF and submit it with your SOWP application. I am a principal applicant and I didn't receive the AOR either, but my sponsor did. I used it for my SOWP and got approved already.

This has been my timeline so far! Some people get it in 2 to 3 weeks and some people get it towards the end. Also the sponsor will get the email not the principal applicant!

Hi everyone, i want to get some info related to spousal file. How long it takes to get Ecopr after getting Pre arrival letter. As me and my partner need to go to india in september, but her work permit is going to be expire in sept.

I called IRCC on Tuesday as my tracker hadn't been updated since March 15th. Been waiting on background since then (application submitted Jan 10th, eligibility completed Feb 16th).

Apparently criminality is completed, info sharing is in progress and security hasn't yet started. I'm hoping security will be completed fairly quickly when info sharing is done as I imagine most of the things security involves is covered in the info sharing stage.

Fingers crossed I see something happening soon. At least my tracker updated yesterday with a "we received your enquiry" update, so I'm no longer seeing March 15th every time I log in!

Similar timeline as yours (submitted on Jan 7th). Everything has been completed except security since March and no further updates. Hoping that the security will be done at least by the end of next month. Fingers crossed!

Not me unfortunately. I saw a couple of December applicants got final decision last week, so hopefully it won't be too much longer for us.
