Anyone else saw the new Canadian passport design which was unveiled today! Can’t wait to reach that stage and get my passport … manifesting for quick processing

1- do we need to submit original PR card with application?
2- is it best practice after applying for citizenship can visit India for 2 months or best is to wait until get the citizenship.
3- for English language proficiency.

You won't get the new passport this year. They say they still have lots of previous design printed and they want to clear them first. The new passport printing will start soon and may be available from next year or when they run out of current stock.

1. We don’t need to submit the original PR card but it is absolutely mandatory to send them a photocopy of it while submitting the application. During the citizenship oath ceremony, they ask you to destroy the original PR card because you’re no longer a PR and you’ve now become a new citizen.
2. I think it’s fine to visit India or anywhere else as long as you do it right after submitting your application that too if you absolutely need to. If you are back before you are invited for a citizenship test then it’s all good. Let’s say you get a test invite but you’re still in India, that’s okay too but beware you will have to let them know about it so they can allow you to take the test from outside Canada and because of this you may or may not face delays.
3. You will need to provide your Canadian education proof like certificate/diploma/transcripts. Not sure about your wife and what exact documents you need from her.
