Hi, I submitted my citizenship application January 27, submitted my biometrics April 5, background verification completed April 6, and citizenship test completed April 12. Language skills, physical presence, and prohibitions still show as 'in progress'. There has been no update since April 14.

Any advice on what expectations to keep regarding the oath invitation timeline? Thanks.

THE CLOUDS HAVE PARTED AND THE SUN SHINES DOWN UPON ME TODAY FRIENDS!

I have received Decision Made status on ECAS. I’m assuming it’s a positive decision or I would have received a PFL or interview.



My test was marked sometime in the last week after about 5 weeks (yay not invalidated!!) and LPP completed yesterday (showing today on ECAS.)

I am over the moon and can’t wait to get my oath invite. I was really down this past week but just kept telling myself,
“There is another version of you on the other side of this who is a citizen. She is proud of you and cheering you on!”

So friends, I am cheering you on! This all SUCKS let’s not mince words. But It’s always darkest before dawn, can’t have rainbows without rain, smooth seas never made a good captain, etc.

What a great way to start my Saturday! I hope good news is coming soon to all of you still waiting. I’ll be on here until I take my oath and then I hope to never come around again honestly hahaha.

Just received an email this morning, including the instruction to download the e-certificate (I haven't done the ceremony). Also says I'll be able to download once some form is signed in the ceremony. I checked the status tracker, nothing is updated yet. Normal situation?

I have been ghosted for a while too. It even took them more than a month to acknowledge the receipt of my FP results. So I guess that office has a serious problem at the moment. It used to be one of the fastest at some point.

Last update for me was a ghost update May 23rd and they still haven't acknowledged my FP as yet.

Any thoughts on how fast Hamilton and Niagara offices are based on what folks have experienced ?

For my own personal experience it feels like the Niagara office is slow but that could be because I was in a bit of a rush. At the very beginning I thought wow this is going fast. I had my BG complete by March 6th and LPP started in progress that same day. Based on others I assumed I would have my test within 2 weeks. I didn’t hear anything until the beginning of June for my test. No change to my LPP even though my application is pretty standard. Hope that helps you a bit.

Well, it's been a full 6 months now for all of us... I still check my tracker daily (on the weekdays, anyway), but I haven't had an update since March 22nd. Twiddling my thumbs over here just hoping this will be done before February so I don't have to renew my PR card.
