Hello everyone. January 2020 applicant here. I received an email request to send scanned photocopies of all pages in my passport. I am currently getting the stamps officially translated before replying to the IRCC office. I have two questions:

1) Should I merge all the PDF files into one file or is it ok to attach 2-3 files to the email as long as the size of each of them is under 5MB?

2) Is this a normal request or could it be that there is something wrong with my application?

Thank you!

1. The best option IMO is to add all passports to 1 file and have a cover letter in front of each passport. For example, the format would look something like this :

Page 1: Passport 1 - Passport Number
Page 2: First page of Passport 1
...
...
Page AB: Last page of Passport 1
Page CD: Passport 2 - Passport Number
Page EF: First Page of Passport 2
...
...
Page ZZ: Last page of Passport 2

Please note that you can fit 2 pages of passport per page. If you do that, the number of pages will go down. Also, don't forget to rename the file containing the passport pages as described in the letter.

2. No, this request is common. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with your application.

Thank you for the suggestion. This is a great way to do it. Would you add the translations to follow the original page of the stamp or would you just include them all at the end?

Thanks!

I used 1 file for passports and another file for translations.

If you can fit everything in one file (all pages of both passports AND the translations) and still end up with a file less than 5MB, then go for it. You can add the translations after the page containing the stamps.

For example :

Page 3 - Stamp in Arabic
<Place translated document here>
Page 4
Page 5
Page 6
Page 7 - Stamp in Turkish
<Place Translated document here>

This is unbelievable, my citizenship test reverted back from COMPLETED to IN PROGRESS on July 30th. I successfully passed the test on May 22nd scoring 19/20.
And today my application status shows this -

You have been scheduled to take the citizenship test. Read your invitation.

  • You need to take your citizenship test on August 30, 2021.

That’s is the glitch

Hi everyone,
I've been asked 2 days ago to submit my passport copies.
One of the stamps is unclear. The year part shows just Zero not 2020. This is in Arabic and translator said it will be translated as illegible.
Does anyone have an experience with such unclear stamps. Should I write an explanation about this before I send the file?
Thank you!

I would say it would smart to send it with an explanation before rather than after the fact.

Well, there was a glitch in system and mine went same in progress from completed.
But here is point, for us there was only a statua changed from completed to in progress. But in ur case, it has given u a new date of test. Please call IRCC helpline and ask them whether ur status is all good or there is some other reason

Hey guys, my citizenship tracker (new one) says that my citizenship ceremony is scheduled for August 24th and that I should follow instructions that are sent to me on how to attend the oath and which documents to present. However, I did not receive any email about either the fact that I have been invited to the oath or the instructions?

You should receive it shorty before the ceremony.
