By 'applications received', do they mean applications which were received in their mailbox or applications for which AORs were sent before Jan 14th 2020? Because my application reached their mailbox before Jan 14th but I got AOR on March 10th. Since then the status has not yet changed from 'Application Received' to 'In Process'.I contacted Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada using IRCC Web form and they replayed to me. They are processing the applications received before January 14, 2020.
It just means that your application was reviewed and determined to be complete. The next step is that they will send it to your nearest local IRCC office and they will start processing your application. Once that happens, the status will change to 'In Process'.By 'applications received', do they mean applications which were received in their mailbox or applications for which AORs were sent before Jan 14th 2020? Oh okay, I see what you mean. But overall, the processing times are going to be delayed for all. The only difference is that I am stuck at Step 1, you are stuck at Step 0. In terms of total delay, I don't think there will be a difference between mine and your application. But I can understand it would be frustrating to not know if you application was correctly filed or not. They are processing the applications were received before Jan 14, 2020 and they are sending AORs for these applications before that date.
For example: They received my application on Jan 21st but I did not received the AOR or application back. That means they did not process my application yet!
It’s gonna be a long journey for us i guess!

Last year's average was 30 days. But no one knows now...Quick question, does anyone know how long it takes for the application status to change from "received" to "in progress"? Thanks
Do worry everything is on hold. No new AORs, in process, test invites or oath ceremonies for anyone. So just forget about it for a while for your sanity’s sake.Anyone yet to receive atleast AOR with application submitted before Jan 14th, 2020.. My application was delivered via courier on Jan 13th and still haven't received AOR..
