Hi all,
Just received my GCMS notes. Haven’t seen much movement since May 2020. The only diff is is that I’m now in Group # 2-TRG34LC, CN Covid pace and Type: PR-other. My initial group was 2-TPLFJM0, I still had Covid pace but without the CN in front and Type: PR-temporary processing. Also under Notes 1 it has Officer review: All requirements met, file ready for approval.

I am FSW Outland and my Vac office has been open since June 22nd on a limited basis.I’m just curious if anyone else has similar info.
When did you apply MCMS notes?

Got this webform response today:

We verified the information on file and can confirm that:

  • The eligibility is currently valid.
  • The criminal background verification has not been initiated.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.

Was really hoping I'd be further along. Today is my 6 months day.

As the article mentions it is likely more exemptions will be added hopefully this will mean that we will be allowed over.
Quick question.. @legalfalcon
If you have a COPR and a visitor’s(TRV) visa on your passport, do you still have to send in your documents for a PPR entry visa ? In other words can you get into the Country with your COPR and visitor’s visa ?

No! Because when you get your COPR all your other visa becomes invalid. You’ll have to apply for PRTD.

After reviewing my GCMS notes and a call with the call center, I learned that my application (inland CEC - AOR Jan 1st) was approved on June 11. However I am yet to receive the confirmation on my web portal. How long does it take to receive COPR after approval? It is close to 50 days since my approval and nothing has happened.

Hi @legalfalcon, I received a webform response today from IRCC:

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.

All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.

In addition, we verified the information on file and can confirm that:

  • Your file is currently located at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.
  • The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirementsunder the immigration program for which you have applied,
    • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminality verifications are in process.
Regarding eligibility, on my previous webform as well as my GCMS notes, my eligibility was Met/Recommended Pass, is it cause for concern to see that the new webform has it shown as verifying? What are the chances of a recommended eligibility pass going back into review?

Otherwise it seems like my application has not changed since March. I'm FSW-O, US citizen living in US with AoR date of 1/23, if it helps answer some questions.

Thanks!

A senior officer has to review it once case analyst mark it as '"met/recommend passed and ready to finalize" according to my understanding.

The webform are known to be providing conflicting information. If your GCMS notes showed that you your eligibility has be Met/Recommended Pass by an analyst / assistant, then only after an officer reviews it and makes a final determination on it, will it be finally passed and your security will start.

Once it has been recommended passed, it is not set back to review. The officer will review the recommendation and make a final determination.

See my previous post on this thread #3,201

Wait for sometime and request another set of GCMs notes and you should see some progress.

In the last few months not much processing has happened. There is no need to be concerned about it.

Yes, even if you have a WP visa, student visa or visitor's visa, you still have to send your passport for PRV, unless IRCC allows you to travel in a TRV, highly unlikely unless there is a formal publication for it.

However, if you do not intend to land as a PR yet and travel to Canada on a TRV, you can travel on the TRV.

Also, when your application for PR is approved, and upon landing as a PR, all other visas are cancelled automatically, as you do not need them any longer.
