Did they ask u to send via post? Was there an email option? If u have email option then do that too.

I see an update in ECAS under PA side that they bagan processing app on 23rd April, but since then there has been no update. Its almost a week now. Any idea how long it takes from there on
Is ur application still in Mississauga? If yes then u should see DM soon. If its not in Mississauga then that would be ur AOR2 from local VO.

Almost one month has passed after finishing our medical on April 1st and there is still no news regarding the transfer to the local office. I'm starting to get worried a bit. Is there anyone else here still waiting for file transfer email? Any insight will be appreciated.

My wife was asked by VO Amman to produce the following document:
- civil registration of your marriage
I'm not sure we understand what that is and how different it is from a marriage certificate.
Background:
I'm Canadian and I live in Montreal, my wife is Iraqi who lives in Iraq. We got married in Jordan, and produced a marriage certificate that is stamped and certified by the civil court there. We have ofcourse provided CIC with the marriage certificate when we submitted the application.
Let me know what ideas you guys have for this document.

Just my opinion, but I think they may be asking for a document from any religious/cultural/local ceremony done. Did you register your marriage in any mosque/ church/ temple?

Well the system is you go to the court and the person that married us was a judge. And then he gave us an official Jordanian marriage certificate. The Jordanian law recongnizes this as a civil and religious marriage at the same time.
People who was waiting for the file transfer has any of you guys got any updates yet?
