Mine only shows APPLICATION RECEIVED.....and thats it. nothing else. so tensed up

Don’t worry atleast they received our full correct application othrwise it’s bit pain when they return the application package and we have startover from the beginning!!

Hope to receive SA AOR soon!!!

have to file taxes since it's that time of the year.. anyone claimed the spousal credit and spouse is back home?? it increase the tax refund a lot, but is it safe to do it? i have 2 trasnfers to her directly in last 4 months totalling around $1700.. so if cra asks for proof can i submit that trasnfer receipt??
Like @springtocanada mentioned, I also didn’t claim credit for spouse overseas for support for same reasons.

Most of people would see “application received on [Date]” on ECAS before receiving AOR

You can not claim the spousal amount as your spouse is not considered a resident of Canada for tax purposes. FYI I am a CPA.

Seems like our Gary has been slacking off again! Yeah it’s been a quiet week so far let’s hope it starts rolling soon! And don’t worry about it if you can see it’s recieves on ECAS

Hi there we (are both residents of Canada) just did our 2018 tax yesterday. We claimed marital status there but didn’t see any options for spouse credit. Can you share more about this steps if possible please? We used TurboTax this time

Hello Guys,
I am a little bit confused, I will appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this please. I sent my application on January 15 and it was received and signed for on 18th of January.
I called CIC today to know what is going on as i have not received aor yet and was told my file was received on March 4th, is this possible?
I thought the date delivered by courier is usually the received date at CIC? well now i have to wait for 2 months again before aor. Has this happened to anybody before?

Hello, I am not to familiar with the Turbo, however see the link below..

If you qualify for the spouse or common-law partner amount, TurboTax automatically calculates the amount for you in your tax return. You can find the calculated amount on line 303 of your detailed tax summary.

what is ECAS?

I logged into government site and checked the my application thing and nothing is there as of now.

I tried to link my application as well (using the receipt # from when I paid) but that didn't work either.

Received jan 24th
