Birth Certificate of the applicant is required irrespective of what country they reside in.

Hi, birth certificate is a required no matter what country. However, I have a question. Let's say the birth certificate was issued at a later date, it appears that the supporting documents are country specific. Could you provide any details on this?

If the birth certificate is issued at a later date, it does not cause any issues. If birth is registered late (Country-specific for India), they need different IDs to prove the identity of the applicant and his/her parents. It is not advisable to send originals initially so notarized copies of voter card, pan card, educational documents are recommended. In the majority of the cases, NDVO requests originals at a later stage and do return them before the application is finalized.

Hi All ,

A quick clarification - Background checks and Transfer to VISA Office happens in parallel or
After BGC only the Trasnfer to VO happens

Biometric is done!

Requested on Feb 25
Submitted fingers on Feb 26
Record came out and mailed to me on Feb 27
Received on March 12

(Took 2 weeks to mail it from Ottawa to Toronto, way to go Canada Post!)

Cic has requested medical on 5 march
Pa has done medical on 6 march in india
But havent heard anything after that no changes on ecas not in linked account either.

This is not true, the Birth certificate is required for the applicant. In a situation where the birth certificate is not available or registered late, extra documents are required by CIC including an explanation.

Are you talking about PR applicant? if so, then definitely NOT REQUIRED! even in the PR application they only request for the kids if you have.

probably they have received you file but haven’t started working on it..so wait and watch and in the meantime keep trying on ecas.
Quick/dumb question..

When I use ecas, I use the option of receipt number for identification. The receipt number from the fee receipt which I paid for my wife's application.
Our application was delivered on January 31st.

For the rest of the details (surname, dob etc) I am entering my wife's details. Is this the right way?
not seeing anything come up yet (just being greedy me lol)

Me too. Ecas was updated with app received on 24th Jan. We started processing your application on 7th March. But no AOR1 yet. It still shows in progress
thats good. atleast your ecas says IN PROCESS. my ecas shows APPLICATION RECEIVED...and that's it. nothing else

Hi,
I called CIC call center but the agent did not help. He said they are reviewing applications received in Oct and I need to wait till I get the acknowledgement. I asked if he can check with client ID or receipt number, but he said I need to wait. :(
My app was received on 28-Jan.
