Just a quick update on my application status:

Application received: Jan 3, 2019
AOR1: Feb 25, 2019

CIC account linked: Feb 25, 2019
BG status: "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information"

http://canadapronline.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/PR_App_Stages.pdf

This BG status message reflects "IP2" stage ( last stage). PA has been processed as "non-accompanying member" during my PR process and her medical exam valid until April 2019. Thus, they directly started her BG check. Any other views? Please share.
Thank you
There’s a few of us who’ve had background checks since AOR1. We can’t seem to pin any sort of pattern down as to why it happens.

My wife case same as yours. Please update if you got special treatment in this process.
Hi,
Like all the others I am as well waiting to receive my AOR. My application was delivered to Sydney on 21st Jan.
Hope we all get a revert soon. The wait seems quite difficult. We have ensured that we submit all the documents as required (proof of relationship. PCC, letters from friends, family, photographs) so that our application is not returned.

Well if that is the case then my Medical was done on July 9th 2018, when I was declared as a non accompanying dependant during my husbands process, so ideally my Medical is valid until July 2019. hence will i also have the same process post receiving AOR??
If someone could help here please

Mine was received at Sydney Office on Jan 24th. I kept all the required information which I can provide as much as I can. Hope its not returned.

Is there a link for Jan 2019 whatapp group?
I don't think so but if there is one I would love to join! :) The link would have to be posted on FB in the Canadian Spousal Sponsorship group or something since I believe the forum deletes any mention of both media platforms. Also guys--I checked ECAS and nothing yet (January 7th applicant). Will keep the group posted.

Hey guys need some help her.. Just a simple question my wife is in Pakistan right now (outland) she also recently got her work visa for dubai and she is planning to move there till the spousal sponsorship application is processed. Right now we are gathering all the required paperwork to complete the file and submit it to Mississauga office by mail (I suppose that's where the the application is sent). So basically I have 2 questions, 1) Who needs to send all the documents via mail do I send it from here in canada or she has to send it via courier/mail service from Pak?
And if she has to send it from there what is better if she waits till she is in dubai first then send it from there or just send it from Pak before she leaves for dubai? Does it helps to speed up the process if she will be technically a resident of dubai?
No, you have to send it to Syedney, NS as she will be outland applicant. Ans. 1. ) It will be you who will send the sponsorship documents from here in Canada. 2.) It will not help but they can take more time as they might have to do background check from both countries. Plus they can ask for police clearance certificates from both countries.
