Hello everyone

I really need your help and advise. I already have a valid Visitor visa in my passport since 2 years ago then my and my wife applied for PR(Sponsorship). now I wonder if my Visitor Visa is still valid? Is there anybody here with the same experience?
My PR application moved to Visa office and we are waiting for the final process but I want to travel to Canada to visit my wife.

To the best of my knowledge, your visitor visa is valid till you’re granted the PR at which point when they ask for your passport they will anull your visitor’s and grant the PR landing visa.

Anyone who’s actually been through this particular scenario, please correct me if Im wrong.

Guess who just did biometrics!! Phew!

The staffs at buffalo office was not very familiar with the process so it took them a while to figure out how it works. I’m sure VAC staffs are better trained than them
Odd, we did our biometrics there on Thursday and it was a super smooth and simple process. Status was updated online in GCKey the day of as well. We were done within 5 mins of checking in. It was longer going through security at the door than it was getting the biometrics.

@rbbt0824 @LostinSpace --- I'm in Buffalo so that's where I'll be going when I get my biometrics request. Did you have to set up an appointment in advance? I saw that things were changed at that office from the canada immigraton website and no longer accepted walk-ins so just wanted to make sure. Also does that office submit to CIC? Or do they give something for the applicant to upload?

Yes you need an appointment, very easy to setup online. You’ll need the biometrics letter and the passport when you go for the appointment. They transmit the biometrics directly to CIC when they take them so nothing needed to be actioned by you after.

Thank you very much for confirming. I thought that was the case but just wanted to make sure. It's nice to know that the office will submit them to CIC as well. Thank you!

As per CIC they focus on one application per person.. so if you submit trv there are high chances that they will start working on ur trv first after results they will resume with ur Spousal one... which will delay ur Spousal definitely

I think you mistakenly responded to me as I didn't ask of that lol.

Then why are you just sending 15? Send 1500 if you can. I mean as many as you possibly could and have. Label each. Nothing to worry a number of people were asked to submit. You should be glad that they are working on your file right now.
One question
So we have three functions of wedding on different day ....
Should i send photographs of all the functions or only wedding day one ?
