Hi my January 2019 Familia,

Some newwwwwsssssssssssss heeeerreeee!

Finally got “READY FOR VISA” email today in the morning!!!!

Finally my file has been approved.

But a little glinch or rather confusion created by the officer.

So I got an one email saying have a new message in the account.

The letter talks about request for passport only for my wife and the deadline is 30 days from today but it has my name and UCI of my spouse.

Secondly, got another email from the officer saying :

Dear client,

You should have just received a correspondence via your online account for your spouse to send her passport for processing.

Please note that you, as the principal applicant, must be landed before your spouse can send her passport. Please take this into consideration in your planning.

Thank you,
AS25032

Now the question is as I am inland applicant they want to get my COPR done then only my spouse can submit her passport for stamping however I havent got any email or landing interview.

So I called CIC and they are saying file has been transfered from Montreal to Vancouver today so I am assuming my landing interview will come soon but she said the appointment is not available for atleast 90 DAYS.

How can I get my COPR early? As they have given only 30 days deadline for my spouse COPR but she can only do the needful post mine.

@legalfalcon @cansha @scylla @HN92 - Experts please help how to expedite my COPR!

@WunmiofLagos - YOU ARE NEXT - Trust me!

All the best rest of the guys who are waiting.

Believe me there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Dear 2019 January Family,

I also have some news to share with you. After almost one year's waiting, we finally received PPR!!! Here is our timeline:

AOR: Jan.30.2019
Passed Medical: Mar.22.2019
#1 ghost update: Later Oct. 2019
submit of new passport: Nov. 2019
#2 ghost update: earlier Jan.2020
#3 ghost update: Jan.20.2020
#4 ghost update: Jan.23.2020 (showing the medical has been extended)
PPR: Jan.24.2020

During the waiting, we tried calling IRCC (from U.S) for multiple times, but never succeeded. Filled the web forms for several times but didn't get any useful information. The waiting is long but I am glad it comes to a good end.

I hope you who are waiting will receive your PPR very soon, all my best wishes!

To all those who are waiting with too much exhaustion - let me tell you that the new standard processing timeline is 10-12 months. I got my PR after 10 months. I waited for 300 days.
Give this process at least 15 months. Don't put you life on hold. Youngsters who quit their jobs should either start learning french or do some certification course. Look for another job in your native country, tell them that your visa process can be very unexpected. Don't sit idle at home. Way too much backlog. Join the gym. Pursue a hobby. MENTALLY PREPARE yourself to WAIT. Only THAT is the magic formula.

Be in touch with IRCC via webform either once in two months or once a quarter.

Don't be shy in disclosing or asking for any information...

I got my COPR today. :)

My medicals were extended in Dec 2019, so my COPR is valid till Dec 2020. If anyone has any question at all feel free to ask me. My best wishes to whoever that is still waiting for their PPR.
Just wondering how many days it was from Medical expiring to Medical extension. Do you know when your medical expired and what day it was extended?

My medicals were extended around a month before they were set to expire. I think they were expiring on Jan 15, 2020, and meds were extended on Dec 19, 2019.
