Ya habibi,

How are you doing? I have not been active in the forums and whatsapp CIC groups since June. I changed phone and lost your number. I submitted a new application on Thursday after finally collecting all the necessary documents.

I see you are very close to PPR. I am in UAE. Let's meet if you have chance. Drop me your number.

Getgcms delivers in 30days
Not necessarily. I have ordered twice from getgcms and never received it in 30 days. I don't think its in the hands of getgcms folks. They simply log request on yohr behalf and deliver you notes after receiving from ircc. If ircc delays, there is nothing much that getgcms or anyone else can do

I didn't get why your initial application was tossed anyway .. I hope you got everything in order by now

The GCMS notes are requested under the Access to Information Act.

Section 7 states:

7 Where access to a record is requested under this Part, the head of the government institution to which the request is made shall, subject to sections 8 and 9, within 30 days after the request is received.

However, in some cases, IRCC dan delay the release, which happens usually if your application is at the final stages, if there is an ongoing investigation, the applicant is called for an interview, or simply due to administrative issues.

In any case of delay, with the standing agreement between OIC, IRCC and GET GCMS, it is reported to OIC. IRCC self reports this, and also sends GET GCMS bi-weekly updates on all request filed by GET GCMS. This merely cuts down on time to follow up with IRCC if there is any delay.

Most delays are resolved within 3-4 weeks, but for those that are not, OIC will follow its procedure of issuing notices and conducting and investigation.

Simply put, most GCMS notes are released within 30-35 days.

Will someone bother to reply?

It can be either. You will definitely get a letter by email or in your account informing you of the reasons for the refusal.
