Not necessarily. I have ordered twice from getgcms and never received it in 30 days. I don't think its in the hands of getgcms folks. They simply log request on yohr behalf and deliver you notes after receiving from ircc. If ircc delays, there is nothing much that getgcms or anyone else can do
The GCMS notes are requested under the Access to Information Act.
Section 7 states:
7 Where access to a record is requested under this Part, the head of the government institution to which the request is made shall, subject to sections 8 and 9,
within 30 days after the request is received.
However, in some cases, IRCC dan delay the release, which happens usually if your application is at the final stages, if there is an ongoing investigation, the applicant is called for an interview, or simply due to administrative issues.
In any case of delay, with the standing agreement between OIC, IRCC and GET GCMS, it is reported to OIC. IRCC self reports this, and also sends GET GCMS bi-weekly updates on all request filed by GET GCMS. This merely cuts down on time to follow up with IRCC if there is any delay.
Most delays are resolved within 3-4 weeks, but for those that are not, OIC will follow its procedure of issuing notices and conducting and investigation.
Simply put, most GCMS notes are released within 30-35 days.
