Ok yes there is the bright side and I am only venting. But "increasing demand" and 'buried in work" is no excuse because no matter how much the demand increases, they are the ones controlling how many invitations get sent out. Essentially, they are not working any more than they originally plan to. So while they have such a painful backlog they're casually inviting more and more people, let alone the escalating demand..
And all of this would still be okay if the process was a little more transparent. I don't mind waiting indefinitely if I had more visibility on the process. Or I don't mind not knowing what's going on if there's a deadline. When there's neither a timeframe nor any transparency, that's extremely frustrating..
the ones dishing out invitations might not necessarily control the people that process them. i certainly would love having the entire process be more transparent, but realistically speaking, they know they already have a better system than pretty much everywhere else. i know it's frustrating (believe me, i also feel like my life is completely on hold until this ordeal is over with), but all in all beggars can't be choosers am i right?
