Hi All,
I have a query, I received a request fro Biometris request for my case, Me and my wife both are currently in Canada on WP and we went to Billy Bishop Airport CBSA for bio-metrics as mentioned on CIC website that this a designated center in Toronto, but there CBSA official told me that they don't do biometrics there and ther is no center for biometris in Canada currently. I am not sure what to do now.

Below are my case details:
AOR-10 March
Bioetrics/medical-26 April
this is what i can find in cic website... the nearest centers in CIC website doesn't state they do biometrics for PR..

If you apply to extend your stay, your study permit or work permit or apply for permanent residence
  • You don’t have to give your biometrics until we open biometrics collection centres in Canada in 2019. When the new centres open, you’ll need to give biometrics for your next application, including a renewal or an extension.

Highly unlikely that you received an update as currently people from Nov-Dec are getting PPR mails. However, please check status of additional documents in your account to confirm that there is no pending request. Also, you can call CIC just to be sure. Good luck!
Hi Sky1989...
Thats a relief to know :) and sure will keep checking for any Additional docs requirement ... :)

thank u

Hey please let me know
Is there any adverse effect on your application by rapid calling CIC and talk to an agent
( means like two in week )

The record all your call info and is also added in your gcms report. According to my last call with agen it only takes less then a month to finalise an application but takes soo long Coz of the load of applications. Just keep faith and be patient. After all Canada is the only country providing fastest immigration.

That's my point exactly...Canada's turn-over time and cost of permanent residence is one of the best if not the best, if you see the rigors people go through for Australia, USA, New Zealand, UK, you wouldn't worry much. Canada is also transparent to an extent. They go as far as providing refund if one gets refused, I'm not sure if other countries do the same.

I have a question about GCMS notes. Could one's application be abandoned for so long, that it'll eternally remain untouched by IRCC? Does the GCMS note serve as a trigger to pick-up the file? If IRCC abandons files waiting till you go through the hassles of getting a GCM then that's not very effective
