I called cic today.
Eligibility done. However background Check is not started.
The officer told me to wait till Sep.

Can anyone help me understand how much time does background Check take?

Are they seriously pushing the timelines?

I am the on the side. Called CIC and the lady helping me was lovely.

She told me Criminality Passed
Background check some passed, some still onging
Eligibility ongoing

But she told me to rest assure, no news is good news, and good things will come within 6 months. She did put me on hold for 10 mins before that.

Hi everyone,

It’s been a month since I submitted my biometrics but I don’t see any update in my application. However my spouse’s biometrics got updated the very next day. I don’t understand why is it taking so long? I raised a CSE and got a reply saying that “ all the documents have been received by responsible office and your application is still in process "
I wonder if they continue with background check without processing biometrics?
Anyone with the same situation please help !

It will be on 19th July. However they say it will b stretched till 20th Sep. I don't get this at all!! On one hand ppl have started getting PPR already n on the other hand we don't even have background Check started!!
I wanted to know how much time background Check takes? What are the factors that are checked?
I hope they do it within 6 months

I also sent one few days back, but got acknowledgement just now. I think there is some glitch and they are not sending any automated emails upon submission of webform. Please wait, I think it should come in 10 days or so.

I also want to Cancel my representative. Is there any delay in process if there is representative cancellation. I don't find that my representative is much useful. it's more of less the same. they just helped me out with filling the application an now i want to cancel. But confused if it will affect my EE profile.

You can fill the required form and submit an CSE and it should be cancelled once an officer look at the request. It shouldn't affect the processing of your application.

Only ghost update I got just minutes after MEP appeared on my profile. Not sure if this is normal

The IMM form is more than enough, make sure details of the assignment and revoking forms are matching as well as your signature

I am Also egyptian I got another ghost update on 24 March 2019 (AOR 20 JAN- Mep passed 28 Feb)
