Citizenship ceremony on November 1, 2018.
eCAS today with final line added.
The ceremony once again showed the diversity Canada truly represents, and that it is not only True North Strong and Free, but the best country on earth.
This concludes my journey to Canada. Best of luck to everyone still waiting!

I have a friend who lives in Whitehorse, and he flew down to Vancouver to take his test and oath on the same day. His notification letter clearly indicated that it was a combined invitation for both. It offered him a choice of dates, indicated that taking the oath was of course dependant on him passing the test, and also that it was a limited opportunity so he needed to respond quickly.

If you have just received a test invite and there is no mention of the oath, then you should assume that it will not be the day after and that you will need to wait for a separate invitation to your oath at a later date.

Thanks. I was thinking you were right, but then yesterday, I received a call from CIC. They told me that if I pass the test and everything else looks good, I'll be able to attend an oath ceremony the following day. The agent mentioned this is usually true for most temporary offices, otherwise it would be another 6 month wait for the temp office to be set up again.

Hi, folks. Passed my test today 20/20. I'm waiting for the Oath Ceremony and the status to get updated now. They said they will send the invited within the next 4-8 weeks. I did get a feeling from them that it might come earlier. So, here's hoping.

Some info for you test takers, make sure you take the following documents with you as this is what they will check for mainly:
1. All passports, current and expired.
2. PR Card
3. Landing document
4. Driver's licence
5. Health Card

Items 4 and 5 are required if you have them, if you don't have any of those two, don't worry. 1, 2 and 3 are what they really need and at least two Is.

The test was pretty easy as long as you read the Discover Canada book and take some practice tests to understand the kind of questions that will be asked. Google will help you find ample practice tests. I read the book once, answered about 300 test questions to see how much I'm able to retain and also see what kind of questions are being asked. Then I read the book the second time and this time made my notes based on my understanding of the kind of questions which were appearing in practice tests. Then I answered a different set of 300 questions. Finally, I skimmed through my notes again before the test.

At the test center stay calm, listen to the instructions and you should be fine.

Good luck!

Finally, received Oath ceremony invitation. It's gonna be @9am on 14th November at Halifax Citizenship office. Almost 10 months' journey will come to an end on 14th :)

Received test invite today with test date set for Nov 29th
