Been a little MIA on the thread and I come back and see people getting their PPR!
Congrats to Barch88 and Sirbill !!
Ottawa is being super quick

Thanks! My PPR was delivered today. My only worry is that now I read through the e-mail from CIC again and noticed it says: "DO NOT FILL OUT THE ADDRESS SECTION ON YOUR CANADA POST RETURN ENVELOPE." - but the Canadian Post guy told me to write my return address on the Xpresspost envelope under "Destination/Return", but don't fill out the "From" section. I hope it's still fine, the address is in Canada and is the same mailing address I put on my Annex A form they requested with the passport/photos. We folded the xpresspost return envelope and tossed it in the package with all our photos, annex A, and passport photocopy, mailed it all off to them and it arrived today at the PO Box they had in the e-mail.

Anyone know how long until the COPR arrives if we mailed it via Xpresspost with a return address in Canada? My wife and I are hoping to have me move in within the first week or two of April if it's soon! I'll keep ya'll posted. I'll check this return tracking information over the next week and see if any movement happens.

Thank you,

-Mike

Hey Guys,
Can you advice that Who should fill out part C of IMM 5532 form, should the sponsor fill it out or the Principal Applicant? Its kind of confusing.

It is supposed to be filled by both. That is the questions are kind of common questions which are applicable to both Sponsor and the Principal Applicant.

Hope this helps :)

Been waiting for AOR 2 since Feb 01 when my file got transferred to MVO. I have a theory that they send batches of applications to Mexico VO every 2 months or so. So you might as well get AOR 2 at the same time Klove and I get it. If that's the case, maybe they wait until a minimum number of applications is reached to send them, no idea.

Sure as hell it doesn't take long to send a package from Canada to Mexico, even if they are using the slowest and cheapest service which is probably Canada Post International.

The average for the third line in ECAS for MVO applicants (this is considered AOR2) is about 60 days but looking at the Mexico City Spreadsheet, you can see a few getting it as soon as 1-3 weeks, the vast majority get them anywhere from 50-80 days long!!

Let's hope my theory holds and we all get AOR 2 next week or so!

Here's to Mexico AOR2 for all of us this week! 8)
Friday seems like a good day.... or right now lol

I vote for Friday for AOR2! :D However, that is probably just wishful thinking ....
(We'll see if Sneaky's theory of processing in batches holds true).

So the PPR for US residents asks for a prepaid courier envelope. I spent the better part of an hour trying to figure it out, but after some web searches (and an unsuccessful trip to UPS) I seem to have figured it out and post this as an aid for others.

First off, UPS flat out insists they cannot create a prepaid label for shipments originating in Canada, so that leaves FedEx as your only option. Other posters have indicated that FedEx ship locations don't really know how to create such a label, so the recommendation is to do it yourself online.

If you go to fedex.com you can first register with a username and password, then can create a billing account linked to a credit-card. There a few different ways of doing this but once you've got it, you can go to the "Create Shipment" page and create a shipping label for your outbound package to Ottawa. At the same time you can create a return label for the return shipment from Ottawa. The UI is terrible but one key is to ensure your "Declared Value" is less than your "Customs Value". Once done it will let you print the necessary labels (each is 3-4 pages) which you can then take to any FedEx location.

I haven't actually mailed these yet so hopefully it will all work out!

Hello,

Just to update also, I received SA on March 6th. File transfer was on March 13th. So next step will be AOR2. eCAS still not showing In Progress. From looking at the Timelines of applicants from MCVO spreadsheet, it's been taking an average of 1 to 2 months to receive AOR2 in the last year. Fingers crossed that it will be sooner rather than later.

Hoping for fast timelines for everyone here!

Thanks for this update! I really hope they do take less time than last years average in MEX :o

I am just looking at it one stage at a time. Right now my app is supposedly in transit to MCVO (not really sure where it is physically at the moment). Someone on the Mexico thread thinks that there will be a bunch of us who will get AOR2 by April 1, since it seems to be a deadline to submit forms that many MCVO applicants had in the last month or 2. I hope that is true and that my app will get to the VO in Mexico by then!

My passport and stuff were delivered to Ottawa yesterday, just got the official "Your Application has been approved." on MyCIC. I guess that means they sent my COPR off?

Is it true that the sponsor (who is a PR) cannot travel outside Canada if the wife's/husband's PR from out of Canada is under process?

A PR Sponsor can still travel outside Canada but must limit the time being out to at least 2-3 weeks.
