No, you don't have to go home. They transferred your file to Manila because Philippines is your country of origin. Once approved, you can submit your passport in Dubai. And you can fly to Canada from Dubai. No need to worry.

Ohhh great. Thank you ☺

Hi there, that happened to me also. You have to proceed to click/select submit to finalize the upload, then it'll change to submitted.

Hey thanks! Just wondering how exactly you do that? I'm not understanding.

Have you sponsored in the past or are you currently sponsoring any other members of your family in a different application? (IMM5532 2. Other Sponsorships) I sponsored my parents as a visitor couple of months back. Do i have to mention this?

After attaching your document, choose the "Next" button and follow the instructions to submit your document. Transmit it, let me know if you were successful.

Hi i received an email saying that they forwarded my wife's application to manila visa office for further processing. Does it mean that i am approved as a sponsor? I did not received an email that I am approved as a sponsor. Thanks

You might want to read the email again. As you mentioned that the PA's app has been forwarded to MVO, it should state first that you have met the eligibility as a sponsor.

To answer your question, Yes, you've been approved as a sponsor :-)

Does anyone who already had the S.A with the new app has already received the background and med's request from the V.O? If so, how many days after receiving the e mail notifying the transfer to V.O took? My file was received by the V.O feb 21 and i hacent received this request yet. Thanks

Congrats! Did you receive the info by mail (which one in this case, Principal Applicant's email or Sponsor's email?), or by ECAS, or on your GC account?

this is good news, happy for you!

I received a request for my Form 5669 (background/schedule A) as soon as my account was able to be linked. My Background Check says "In Progress" as of Feb 28th. I did my medical up front so sadly I can't help in that regard, mine show 'Passed' already.

You can't. Must upload electronically with the new forms. I filled mine out and mailed it and they still requested it on MyCIC. I suggest troubleshooting the browser/issue. Clear your cache/cookies, make sure you have no firewalls preventing downloads, you'll want to install Adobe Acrobat DC ( https://acrobat.adobe.com/us/en/acrobat/how-to/pdf-editor-pdf-files.html )

Best wishes.

Hi,

I am so confused about submitting Schedule A Background Declaration. My partner was sent an email that said we should either mail or send by email a completed Schedule A (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature to the VO in Mexico City where our app is being sent to be processed. (They sent us an address where to send it to and also an email address of the VO).

Last night I checked his myCIC account to which our app is linked and under View Submitted Documents, I saw the option available to upload this form and a Schedule 1 (addendum) they also requested.

My partner thinks we should not upload electronically because it specifically asks on our email to send through mail or email to the address provided.

But now I am reading here that you are saying that they will make us upload electronically anyways.

As well there was another person saying on a separate thread that the VO offices (I think they were talking about Mexico VO) don't get these forms that are sent to CPC-.

I don't know what to believe now, as there seems to be so much conflicting information out there.

I understand that people only express what they know through their personal experiences, however, I don't know why IRCC can't just say ... this is what all applicants should do and then just maybe they wouldn't have 10,000 people trying to call them all the time to get information!!! (Sorry for ranting!)

Anyways, I think we will do both, send the forms and upload electronically just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for your post.
