I am confused why they want you to fill out the "Use of Representation" form. Did you use a lawyer or immigration consultant?

Nope apparently when I filled out the generic application form I used my mailing address instead of hers which was different than her residential address so they sent it back.

I'm trying to get the forms back to me (the sponsor) so I'm wondering if I should resend the package back with the 5476 form or just fill out the residential address as the mailing address.

I would just focus on correcting the error as you have stated. Use the Principal Applicants address, your wife, in the generic application.

As for IMM 5476, I did not include it in our package and did not check this off on the checklist!

I didn't either, however I wanted all of the documents to be sent back to my address because where she lives, it's very easy to lose your mail there... Also does anyone know if I want to resubmit my application if I have to repay my fees again or just use the same payment form?

It's because the address was wrong. The application is being made by the Principle Applicant, so the address has to be the address for the PA. If it's the same address as the sponsor, no problem. If you put the sponsor's address in, then in order for them to send anything to the sponsor's address (ie, not the applicant), the applicant has to enclose a form saying they authorise the sponsor to represent them.

When I logged in the Schedule A request was already there. No police check request, but I sent mine in upfront - we'll see if they request it in the future.

Same here. My background check is in progress now. I'll let you know if they request another Police Certificate for me. I uploaded a 5669 (I'll probably need to upload another though, see my previous post).

Hey Guys:
I have applied for my spouse from India on 19 of January. I have received the email that I have been approved as sponsor and then my wife got a request to provide the schedule A and PCC from India on 22nd of February. I have also made the GCkey account and linked the application to that. I am trying hard to find a way to upload the requested documents but I coulndn't. I don't see any message about the documents request into the GCkey account and It is saying that none of the documents are requested as of now. Do I need to wait till they made request for the documents or is there any other trick? Thanks in advance.

I cannot say for sure, but your file has been opened, so they are probably reviewing all documents, even though it does not say In Progress or that they are requesting documents.

I have been reading the status given by others' and my conclusion is that each officer reviewing applications simply enters different things in the Application profile section. Mine says a Review of eligibility Not started, medical results Passed, but blank in Review of documents section. and a background check is In progress. It has been like that for almost a week. But I'm pretty sure all steps for SA review are being done.

I do not think it will be updated. I suppose if they will give me SA, they will request for a Canadian Police clearance and Schedule A to be uploaded by PA. Just read into it that your file is open and they are determining if your app meets requirements for SA, for which you will receive an email when they are done their review.

Are you the sponsor or the principal applicant? This tells you what's going on with the PA's file when it's transferred to the visa office. Currently, they haven't started processing it yet. That will happen after the sponsor gets approval.

Times vary. Some people get it very quickly, but for others it takes longer. I've been waiting for almost eight weeks and nothing yet.

Hey,
I applied to sponsor my Algerian husband on Jan 24th, 2017. Now they are asking me to pay the RPRF & to send them a copy of his passport.
His passport expires on Dec29, 2017 ( 10 months left). Do I have to renew it??? & is it gonna cause us troubles later if we don't ?
Our application is in Paris.
