just a quick question does that mean we can send by the Courier address too???? from fedex or ups??

I can confirm this is correct. I used the courier address, they got it overnight via UPS with signature and my application is being processed just fine

I highly appreciate all ur efforts and replies ...best wishes to all of you..

CIC Processing Time form on the CIC website:

--> --> --> Check application processing times

and fill up the form. I think it's actually an average of 12 months currently.

I have restored the spreadsheet from 6.54pm today. It had the names.

Sorry! Through the CIC account I linked with the PA not the SA, so I didn't see this status. I checked the ECAS site and entered my wife's information (DOB/Place of birth, same application number) and it says Decision Made on Sponsorship and PR currently In Progress. Since the PR is currently In Progress I'm guessing the sponsor has been approved? w00t!

I updated the spreadsheet. I'm guessing this was approved back last Friday or this most recent Monday when my PR status was changed on the GCKey login site, I just didn't check. I'm guessing this is the long waiting period now for the PR to be approved. Godspeed!

Good to read that. For me the PR application still appears as received. I was hoping to hear something from lawyer but i did't get anything hopefully tomorrow!

I hope you're all doing well. I managed to see that my application was recieved on ECAS (with the application number AND sponsored person/principal applicant info... nothing else), but couldn't manage to link my application on CIC because i couldn't find the application.

NB: my first name have an apostrophe as officially written on my french ID

As i said before:

Some update on my side. My wife (sponsor, canadian citizen, hotmail address) just received the AOR on her e-mail. While on my side (principal applicant, french citizen, gmail address), i didn't receive anything, yet...

So far i think my trouble is to find the application it asks the expected residency place (which is a strange question), with Province and City.

The thing is that i don't know yet whereabout Vancouver/Lower Mainland we're going to live in till we move there and find a place to live.
Is it linked to a special question in the application on the sponsor/sponsored person side?

Which question is it?

Now 21 days since sending the application through regular mail from Latvia with no confirmation email from Mississauga and postal tracking number not working.

Really trying to stay positive that the package is not lost but each day is getting a bit scarier.. fingers crossed, we really want to move to Canada as soon as possible.

Hmm ... I wonder if Place of Residence is the thing that is preventing the linking of our application? We used the old kit and I don't recall seeing that anywhere when we filled out the forms. Unfortunately, I get an error when I leave that section blank, and it won't let me proceed until I add the information.

I really do think, if they want us to link the paper application online, it should be easier to do. The fact that what works for some people doesn't work for others isn't good. Have us enter less info, the same info for everyone (app number, client ID, principal applicant's name should be quite sufficient), and be done with it. It shouldn't be this difficult.
