Hello house!!

My wife got her PPR on 11th May. As she is here with me on Visitor's Visa, we sent her Passport to Ottawa for stamping, which reached Ottawa on 12th May.

It's been 2 weeks since and haven't received anything back nor heard from them. I even tried to track the Canada Post Xpresspost return envelope but to no luck ???

How long does it usually take to receive the stamped passport from Ottawa? Anyone here who sent their passport to Ottawa for stamping? In how much time did they received their stamped passports?

Cheers!

Mine just reached Ottawa now - so my guess is as good as yours :)

Hi Jan applicants.. for those whose app was sent to MVO, when do you think we can start receiving PPRs?

Are we looking at some time towards the end of this year?

It means your case will be processed on Ottawa. That office has been taking on extra applications from overburdened VOs lately it seems.

Consider yourself lucky. Ottawa is a fast VO.

American applicants through Ottawa are taking 2-3 months right now with some getting DM about a week or two after SA. Since you're from Pakistan it will probably take a little longer, but I wouldn't be surprised if you get through in under 6 months.

Under 6 months overall is my estimate.

It's completely possible that your application could be done with in a couple months. From what people have seen recently, "in process" is fairly accurate to your application actually being processed. Two people in April (they're from the US though) already have DM and their application said "in process" for only a few days before DM. It likely take at least a couple weeks longer though, depending on how long their security checks take to go through. I'm just using this to give you an idea of how fast Ottawa is for visa-exempt applicants. Again, I'm not sure exactly how long the processing will take because you're from Pakistan.

No problem! ;D

I would suggest ordering GCMS notes to get an idea of where they are with processing your application. That might give you some more clues on how long you should expect it to take.
