Hi MNM2015 .... I believe that proof of returning to Canada would need to be submitted when the application was first submitted and part of the package for Sponsorship Approval.

But since I am currently in Canada and about to get my sponsorship approval as I am residing in Canada, do I need to show proof after I get my sponsorship approval that I will come back if I later move out of the country?

Normally it would be part of the initial application for sponsorship approval. However I was told when I asked the same question on this forum that once it was known that I was residing out of Canada they would ask for proof at that time. This is why I say it will likely slow down the application some. Anytime documents are requested there is a delay while waiting on them.

I was considering heading to the States to wait this out with my husband and thought, like you, that after SA it wouldn't matter but was told differently by senior members here. I guess there is always a chance they wouldn't find out and even if they did you are doing nothing wrong as long as you are a citizen. However be prepared to submit proof if asked and be aware your application may take slightly longer because of it.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. I am a bit worried as I have not yet received my AOR as well. And can you please tell me if I have to count overall 57 days or the working 57 days for the SA ?? Can you please share as tomorrow I am finishing my 57 th day so. Thanks a lot anyways for advise

It is calendar days not working days so you should be at 57 days tomorrow. I would say call on Wednesday so you can say it is past the processing time. Best wishes for positive news soon!

You're welcome. I'm not an expert by any means, just passing on the info I was told. You could look up my old post for more info (not sure how to link it or I would) or post your own new question on the main forum to get more opinions. Definitely look into it a little more before changing your plans. And like I said it's not wrong or going to cause you big problems by doing it as long as you are planning to return to Canada once it's approved. Best wishes to you!

I called this morning and was told I was approved on Friday!! I am very happy about that but am the kind of person who won't really believe it until I see it in writing. Not sure why I haven't received anything by email yet as my AOR came by email. I am a little disappointed that they said our file is being transferred to the Dar Es Salaam office instead of Ottawa like we had hoped. Now I have no idea what to expect for processing times. Regardless I am very relieved that I have been approved so now can move on the next stage.

That is so good to hear..congratulations on your SA!! I haven't had the chance to call them cuz Im working morning shift. I tried calling 10 mins ago but I couldn't get through,the operator said alot of people are calling or something.
Ill give them a call on Wednesday if I don't hear anything tomorrow.

She said I got approved on March 5th and they just haven't sent the email,but it will come after 5 days.My husband's file was actually transferred to Manila already.
I am so relieved.This is the best day ever. Just in time for my bubby's birthday tomorrow

Thanks for the good wishes for me. The guy I talked to never mentioned anything about 5 days for the email but that's probably the issue with mine too. That makes me feel better.

Guys on ecas what goes first in the sponsor account

Hi all - can someone explain the difference on ecas between the two sections labelled 'Sponsorship Application Status' and 'Permanent Residence Application Status'?

Is the first one assessing me, the sponsor, and then when that's done it moves over to the PA in the second part?

Ok happy to say ecas was updated showing medical results received and also that an email had been sent to me acknowledging receipt.

I guess based on this, I'm answering my previous question, it seems the left side is for the sponsor and the right side is for the PA.
