My application received the same day. Lets keep in touch to JANUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS PAGE.

Awesome! Glad to have an "application twin" so we can keep track together!

I agree about it being a huge relief to have it sent and delivered. I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders after all the hours spent gathering everything. I was starting to feel I was drowning in papers and so tired of reading the same things over and over.

Hello, I'm currently sponsoring my husband and he us right now in Guatemala which I understand will be process in Mexico City, the application was received by mississauga on 12/08/16 and havent receive any news yet but checking the CIC website it says the processing time will be 18 months. Is it REALLY take that long? and here its me and 4 year old and 11 month babies waiting for their father to come back, please share your news and times too to have a better idea :)

I just sent in the application last week. I was concerned of the processing times as well. I am on a Facebook page for Mexi-Can spouses and I asked if I should be concerned of the processing time listed and everyone said no according to their experience. Some have been processed in as little as 6 months, some have taken 8,10 months... It all depends on the case. If the case has no complicating factors it should only take up to a year at the most. I also have a friend who works at the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City and she said the cases in which are more complicated example: have been deported, many divorces etc etc are the ones that take the full process due to them having to investigate. So I am sure if you have no complicating factors in your application it should not take that long. I am hoping to have my husband in Canada by October 2016 and we just sent out app!! Fingers crossed!!!!

2015 applicant po ako under family sponsorship. Decision made na kmi ng Anak ko hope matanggap na agad nmin visa it's been 5days since ng dm kami

Thanks for your reply. Then I hope our case won't be taken as complicated cuse I was married once before and I sponsored that guy wich was the biggest mistake I ever have done but then I met my husband and we have been legally married since 2013 and he was a refugee claimant but his case was denied and he voluntarily left the country, he even got a certificate of voluntary leave from immigration and now I just filed the sponsorship hope is not gonna be complicate cause we really miss him and we want him back :(

Hello all

Finally, I've just sent out the application by courier today (15 Jan). Should reach Mississauga by Monday 18 Jan due to weekend. *fingers crossed* ;D

Just a quick question - In what order does one put the India Information guide and document checklist?

Cheers!

It indeed is a good feeling and relief. Ran through the docs several times before submitting, but still nervous whether I've missed out on something or if something is incomplete.

Have you submitted your app?

Yes! CPC received it yesterday I believe so now just waiting for notification that they have started it! It was quite an overwhelming process and I ran through the documents several times as well. The feeling of relief that was gained by sending it was quickly replaced with worry about missing something or not signing something as you said. As it turns out, yesterday while reading these forums, I was reminded that we did not send in a translation of my boyfriends birth certificate so I am expecting a returned application :(

Question for someone who may know: If I know we are missing the translation of his birth certificate in the application, is there anyway that I can send it now without having any kind of reference numbers for our case?

Thanks!

I was the same!!! I went over and over to make sure everything was signed and submitted! I was almost scared to send it!

That's a big oversight! Try your luck by calling the CIC Call centre and see what they have to say.

It is a definite return otherwise.

Definitely a big oversight....my heart sank when I remembered.

I can't seem to find a phone number or email address. Would anyone know where I can find it or have it on hand?
