Can we not just email proof of RPRF to CPC-M if we pay by credit card? Or do they want physical copy? I am pretty sure I read somewhere that you can email the info to them. I was going to do that and then fax a copy of the receipt to my VO.

It is entirely up to you to email it or mail it as said. If they don't acknowledge the email it would be on you as they ask for it to be mailed. If you instead courier it you will see it has been signed for.

I am getting the information based on what I read on the CIC website. I personally haven't received a request yet. I just want to pay it upfront now to avoid any delays if I can. :)

How do I contact CIC?

To Pay or Request Refund of RPRF: If the Visa Office has instructed your relative(s) to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) or if you wish to request a refund of RPRF which you have already paid (refunds can only be issued after you have declined your right of appeal), you may send a copy of the Official Receipt via email by selecting one of the links below. Please include the Sponsor’s name, date of birth, and UCI Number or Application Number if known.

Ok I see. I just based it off the request for RPRF I got

Hi, does it take longer for them to process common laws compared to marriage? Mine was approved March 21/2014 and no news up to date. I feel worried. :(

No need to worry cgrey. No Manila applicant here got any news from the VO yet. According to the Manila spreadsheet, they are finishing December applicants so we should get PPR in July.
From what I read on other threads, you can expect an interview because you're common law. You will have to prove the authenticity of your relationship more than married people.

Just got our COPR in the mail today! 151 days from mailing off the package to Visa received :)

Congratulations Zarilenth.... So glad that everything work well for you at the end,
no matter the issues at the beginning...

I am so excited for july! Praying that we receive PPR next month. How long will it take for us to grant our visa after PPR?

Your case as same as mine.
I haven't heard any news.

I follow several treads, and I can see that little by little we are getting close to the day
when we are going to receive a Passport request...
currently they are working on cases ranging from November 2013 to December 2013...
with many of December cases already in process, that only leaves one option...
that January 2014 is next....
I expect many cases of January 2014 entering the "in process Zone", and also many
Passport requests ... and I also expect some February 2014 cases to enter the "in process" zone
by the end of August... So, things are moving faster now...

After many weeks of not knowing we will know something soon... that's the expectation

Thank you
Yes man I saw a lot of thread and got these information. You're absolutely right.

Yeah, agreed. It's looking like January 2014 applicants will be getting some news shortly here. Good luck to everyone!

Let's hope they'll start soon doing something about my application as well! I sent London VO Case Specific Enquiry, but since I don't want to risk waiting another 28 days before I will only get possibly a request to submit my CSQ, I'll be sending it out today myself. I will also attach some more proof of my husband's intent of return (Mississauga had noted that it wasn't verified), just to beat to it in advance. Can't yet know if they need anything else, since they haven't even opened my file since it arrived in London...

I guess next week I'll order a new set of GCMS notes, once my letter arrives and give them a few days first. Don't even want to imagine what would have happened if I didn't use this forum and know about this GCMS notes thing! I guess I would have waited until November and only then find out they never got my CSQ and they mistyped my email...

On a bit more positive note, I'm doing now French classes online offered by MICC. I did pass the intermediate level after all and so far I'm quite satisfied! Though after two years of not using French actively got it a bit rusty and French verbs just give me cold sweat, but at least my in-laws should be able to communicate me by the time we go there. They won't even have to make me drink some wine in advance ;)

So here are our final dates for the spreadsheet.
Thank you all as you have made the waiting period much more less dramatic.

ECAS Updated to Decision Made: June 25 2014
Landed: August 11 2014

I updated your spreadsheet, but I wrote down your landing date in the comments section for now as it's still in the future.

Received my GCMS notes yesterday. VO noted that he/she does not have any concern over the genuineness of the relationship and therefore has approved the application, eligibility entered in the system. RPFF and p'port received as well, criminality and medical all passed. The only thing that is outstanding right now, according to the notes, was security which still shows "in progress", not sure how this is different than criminality, anyone with insights are much appreciated.

Now just keep fingers crossed and hope to get my partner's passport back soon.

One advice I'd give to future applicants, pay the RPRF along with application fee, it may be a financial ding for once but could save you a lot of processing time. It took us almost 2 months before CPC-Mississauga updated their database indicating that RPRF was received. Sigh...
