Thanks, glad to be back. I had to resubmit some documents due to my error on 3/13 so I have not heard since. Waiting patiently, they were waiting those before proceeding so I really hope I'll get more info as I would also like to notify them about my pregnancy as well but not sure if and how I can do that.

Oh congratulations on the baby to come. I think you will have to update your application to add your dependant child. You can search or browse the forum, there is some threads about applicants who got pregnant during the process. Happy reading!

Yeah I've heard a bunch of different theories. He'll be born in the States since I have insurance but we are filing his papers for Canadian citizenship as soon as I can. His father is Canadian born, Quebec resident so we just have to file a paper with Canada. I'm going to tell CIC as soon as I hear from them regarding my application, which I haven't heard a thing so I'm not even sure I'm in the system yet. I did an eCAS search and I wasn't in yet.

Sorry about the accident and your hubby's situation. Hope you guys are holding up ok. I'm not familiar with what happens in a lawsuit, but I imagine the person who actually hit the students would be the person to be sued primarily? We have a few lawyers in here, hopefully they can shed more light.

I would not speak about it, give statements or admit to anything, etc without consulting a lawyer. As a witness, you must show up to court. Otherwise, they will issue a warrant for your arrest which can't be good especially as you're sponsoring your husband.

Keep record of the visits because it can be used as proof of a continuing relationship with your spouse. If they serve a purpose for the accident/lawsuit, then no harm done.

Thanks for the support and reply. That's good to know so I better make sure that I have an away message on my phone in case they call while I'm gone, as they said they may call me. Last thing I would want would be for it to be misconstrued as me avoiding them. I swear, when it rains it pours. Soon we will be with our spouses/families and look back on this time and remember how much strength it took. I spoke to my friend who is a lawyer and I have a lawyer for our case so maybe I will send him an email just to make him aware.

Why am I reading the appeal posts? Effing stupid...

Should be able to hide topics for all eternity. Lol

You're having too much time on your hands Graihn. :P

Yeah, good idea to inform your lawyer. Ask your lawyer or the lawyer friend what they think about you informing the police you will be away for a certain period instead of an away message?

The Accra office does not usually send AOR. You will most likely only hear from them if they require more info/documents, request an interview or send PP request.

Welcome to the January 2014 applicants thread Divine Favour.
Even if you are a December 2013 applicant, I added you to the spreadsheet. I noticed that there is no Accra applicants in the December 2013 thread so maybe you will feel more at home here. You will be able to share and discuss with other Accra applicants in our thread.
The posted processing time for Accra VO is 15 months so you will likely not hear from them before Sept-Oct.

Just received AOR from CIC Beijing Office ten minutes ago, please update the spreadsheet for me :D Much appreciated!!
