Ama and I both called the call centre and asked what was going on.. our non-official AOR's were just an update for us to see what was going on with our application. They looked like this:Gumper said:My sympathies too ama1978....maybe think positively in that it hasn't been lost or anything that catastrophic. Hopefully once they get their attention back on it they will realize their error and expedite it. It is odd that you didn't get an "official" AOR, why would they send another email, and what does an email like that even look like? Stay positive as best you can, maybe it will all shake down in the next couple days
"RE: IMM_File_Status
Dear Client,
This email confirms that your Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class was received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) at the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga on January 27, 2014, on behalf of the following family member(s):
xxxxxxxx
What happens next?
You may be contacted at any time during this process to provide additional information before a decision is made by an officer. Once a sponsor’s eligibility has been assessed, the sponsor is informed of the eligibility decision in writing.
Please note that while the sponsorship application is in process, email inquiries about the status of the application will not be acknowledged and you will not receive a response."
So no UCI or file number or anything - just a response to the note that was sent as an inquiry.
I got my 'official' AOR today, so I'm hoping that ama's is on it's way too!
